  • A few days ago Volks USA has finally announced the winners for the Dolpa 25 limited item lottery and I am happy to report that I have successfully secured the right to adopt Dollfie Dream DD Neris to be my next daughter! Didn't I just adopted Airy the other day you ask? Well yeah but you see, the moment I decided to travel to the World of Shining Hearts to acquire the knowledge for both Airy and Neris, I have already decided to welcome both of them to my ever growing Dollfie Dream Family!

    A few days ago Volks USA has finally announced the winners for the Dolpa 25 limited item lottery and I am happy to report that I have successfully secured the right to adopt Dollfie Dream DD Neris to be my next daughter! Didn't I just adopted Airy the other day you ask?   • As of the moment you see this blog post, DD Airy has already cleared US customs and is scheduled to arrive at my home next week! Now you might be curious on how on earth did I manage to get her so fast, and I must say none of this would have been possible if not for one of the most powerful social media tool Twitter! I am sure most of you heard about how Twitter was responsible for spreading the news of Bin Laden's death long before the major news outlet was able to report on it; but how does that affect me? What really happened here was that one of my many comrades I met through twitter Dark Dollhouse just happened to be at Dolpa 25 and got an extremely good number out of her guide book. If it hadn't been for Twitter, I would have no idea that ddotark was at the Dolpa and had a good number!

  • Since Hobby Japan already published the images of the upcoming limited Dollfie Dream set to debut on Dolpa 25 DD Airy and DD Neris, this new issue of Volks News 43 doesn't bring a whole lot more than what we already know, save for a few outfits and new accessories. However, since the scans of Volks News 43 are already showing up in various channels of the internet, I decided that I might as well (reluctantly) break away from my Shining Hearts marathon and quickly cover them in one swoop.

  • I have been spending most of my free time to play the new PSP game Shining Hearts as part of the preliminary exercise to get to know my future Dollfie Dream daughters. For the past couple of days, I have been trying to get myself familiar with the game itself, so far the effort has been paying off and I am moving along without much difficulty. I will eventually write a more in depth first impression of the game, but for now, just allow me to share some screen shots of the game with you all.

  • Just merely days ago we looked at some of the "preliminary scans" of the Shining Hearts Limited Dollfie Dream that are due to release in Dolpa 25. A fair number of people were slightly disappointed due to the poor quality of those photos, so bad that the white balance of Neris' photos were complete off and made her looked like a white skin DD. I knew DD blog will come through with better photos in a matter of time but the time is now!

  • While majority of my otaku spending is being devoted to pamper my two most favorite Dollife Dream daughters such as DD Saber Lily and DD Kiriha Kuze in recent months, I do occasionally pick up some pvc figures if I find the character design are good enough. Two of such figures emerged from Wonder Festival Winter 2011, and coincidentally both figures are based on characters in recent PSP game from SEGA: Shining Hearts, and to top that off, both characters are designed by famous illustrator Tony Taka. Now, I don't think I need any excuse to say I have always been a Tony Taka fan but since most of his work were focused on the 2D art in the past, I haven't had the opportunity to load up on a lot of figures based on his design yet, except for Kotone Ousaka from Native of course!
