  • Still in the midst of unpacking from my Hong Kong trip! It was indeed a great vacation, despite the heat and humidity, it was a great experience to take Saber Lily Dollfie Dream with me on a vacation and to finally meet so many of the DD parents I met over the years. Since the entire trip span over a week and I have taken hundreds of photos; so I have decided to break them up into several segments. Since I have already talked about the Dollism Plus 6 event on a separate post, I am going to start documenting my experience and some of the local food I have tasted during my stay in Hong Kong!

  • For the past week or so, I have taken my most beloved Dollfie Dream daughter DD Saber Lily with me to a relaxing vacation in Hong Kong and to attend a doll event known as Dollism, since this is the sixth consecutive year of the event thus it was called Dollism Plus 6. One of the primary objectives of this trip was to meet many of the DD parents I have met online over the years; and similar to the vacation I took Kiriha to last year, there will be more private photo sessions with Lily and much more..... Since I have taken many photos over the span of the week, so I will have to break them up into several posts and we will start off with the coverage of the event, there will a separate blog post dedicated to the various local and international food I have consumed while I was in Hong Kong also (which is another main objective of the trip :). So, without further ado, allow me to share some of the photos I took at Dollism Plus 6.

  • Wolfheinrich.com is ready to move into a new phase, which is to make it easier for my visitors to remember my site and at the same time, make it easier for them to pass it along as well. I initially chose Wolfheinrich.com because it is my online alias, but it isn't exactly very readable or easy to remember for first time visitor; so after some serious consideration, I have decided to acquire a new domain name dollfigure.com that simply points to my permanent domain Wolfheinrich.com, after all, it's a whole lot easier to tell someone to go to dollfigure.com than wolfheinrich.com.... how did you spell that again? Some of you who has been paying attention have noticed I have already added Dollfigure.com into my blog title since last week. I even put together a little promotional postcard for this occasion, featuring 10 of my most beautiful Dollfie Dream daughters...

Since I will be meeting loads of online comrades for the first time, so I have to prepare a bunch of new name cards this year. Those of you who have good memory may remember I had a batch of name cards to pass around in Anime Expo last year, but since then, I have already moved my web domain, the old card is sadly not accurate anymore...

  • Unlimited Blade Works has always been my favorite arc of the 3 scenarios from Fate/stay night, I guess part of it has to do with Emiya Shiro being extremely irritating from the Fate arc and I wasn't exactly a big fan of Matou Sakura either; so kind of bumping Rin on top as my favorite heroine from the game, although Saber Lily would have unanimously be given the top spot if she were to appear in the game though ^^; Anyway, I believe I have always said that Rin Tohsaka doesn't have as much merchandise love as the main heroine Saber and Saber Lily and it's also one of the main reasons why I decided to enter Dolpa 21 lottery to adopt Rin as one of the first Dollfie Dream I directly acquire directly from Volks. When I heard they are going to have an Unlimited Blade Works movie, I was super excited because I know for sure Rin would now get some merchandise love she deserves so much!

  • Ever since I began collecting Dollfie Dream some years ago, it has always bothered me that some of the very crucial information such as how to go about acquiring one, and how much does it cost to actually get one are often difficult to find especially for someone new to the hobby. As we all know, the distribution mechanics for limited Dollfie Dream is rather unique or should I say, highly time sensitive. Once we missed the boat initially, collectors old and new most likely have to end up dipping into one of the most popular aftermarket distribution channel, also known as Yahoo Japan Auction. Now, let it be known that I have always have a strong distaste for online auction for goods with limited availability, because once the availability of the said good is determined to be rare, it becomes a highly seller oriented market, which is bad for most of us who are looking to acquire the said goods.

  • This called for immediate action even though I had other plans in mind for the weekend (such as pampering DD Saber Lily some more!), I simply had to drop everything to address the WHS missing drive failure first. It was extremely fortunate that I have more or less anticipated this situation to happen at some point in time and had purchased an extra green drive that has been sitting idle the whole time. I quickly followed the instruction and added the new drive to the JABOD pool and began the removal procedure of the bad drive. It gave me a warning that I might lose my PC backup and proceed to prepare the system for the drive removal. It took about 30+ minutes (I have heard some people had their WHS thrown into an infinite loop, fortunately it didn't happen here), the system came back and told me it's now safe to remove the drive.
