Posted on February 23, 2012 | 12 Comments | This post has 645 viewsIt's been 3 years since I started this little blog and I am happy to announce that it has just successfully managed to pass its 3rd birthday! Over the past 3 years I have most definitely came across more than a few liked minded comrades, so much that I even feel comfortable enough to traveled back to Hong Kong to attend Dollism Plus 6 (something I have put off for years!); but at the same time, I also ran into a few that don't get along with me or think of me as some sort of "elitist". As I mentioned in my 2nd anniversary post, I am establishing my own online presence as a way to meet new friends and most importantly, since I will never be able to please everyone nor would I ever pretend to do so; so it's fair to say that I would never try to befriend those who don't like the way I do things to start with.
Posted on November 18, 2011 | 18 Comments | This post has 998 viewsFor the past year or so, I have been considering an upgrade to my existing Nikon D5000 since I believe I am at the point where I am approaching the limit on what I can do with the D5000. While my original intention was to upgrade to the next full frame release that was due to be announced this year (the rumored Nikon D800), but due to various reasons including Tohoku earthquake in March and the flooding in Thailand in July, the "rumored announcement" has been pushed back. After some careful consideration, I have concluded my best option right now was to acquire the readily available D7000 since I have already located a buyer to off load my D5000 to, the incremental cost to for upgrade from D5000 to D7000 wouldn't be that much; coincidentally, Nikon has been running a rebate promotion with their line of popular DSLRs, which made the decision to upgrade that much easier.
Posted on November 13, 2011 | 6 Comments | This post has 1,028 viewsIt has been about three months since my trip back to Hong Kong with Saber Lily Dollfie Dream, but I have finally got back into swing to do post processing on some of these photos within the past week or so. In a way I was a little disappointed at the fact that the weather wasn't very cooperating during the whole week I was there and I was not able to take as many outdoor photos as I had hoped. In any event, I must thank twitter friend TonyBSD to show me around various places and allowing me to borrow his tripods. While this trip didn't yield as many photos as I had hoped, but please allow me to share some of them here~
Posted on November 2, 2011 | 1 Comment | This post has 761 viewsIt was soon after I decided to go into the world of Dollfie Dream, I thought if there was one other hobby that will complement my Dollfie Dream collection, it would have to be photography! To me, while it is important to spend time dressing up Dollfie Dream girls with various costumes, it is just as important to be able to capture those precious moments to the best of my ability so I can enjoy them again. I tried to do what I could with the camera gear I had at the time, but It didn't take very long before I decided to purchase my first DSLR Nikon 5000. While it was probably my first serious attempt at digital photography, I have managed to created many fond memories with my Dollfie Dream daughters. It was the right camera for me at the time, and I have learned a lot during these past two years and achieved a good understanding of its potential and capabilities; however, I believe I have reached the point where I am due for an upgrade (as some of you who follow my twitter stream might have noticed). With all that said, I am going to dedicate this post to pay tribute to my D5000 to show case some of the photos I have taken with it ~
Posted on October 18, 2011 | 4 Comments | This post has 589 viewsKonnichiwa, minna~ I am Saber Lily Dollfie~ It's been a while since I wrote my last blog post... As many of you knew already, I traveled to Hong Kong with otousan back in July to meet all the friends he has made online over the past several years, but one of the main objectives of my trip was to acquire as many dollfie dream loots for myself and my dollfie dream sisters as possible...

Posted on September 27, 2011 | 3 Comments | This post has 321 viewsIt has been an exciting week for Dollfie Dream related news, first we had the official announcement of the Type-Moon 10th Anniversary X Dollfie Dream project, then we have Volks News 45 which cover the Dollfie Dream Gathering that is scheduled to happen next month; by covering these two major events together within a matter of days had result in putting excessive resource usage in my shared hosting account that could bring down the server. My web hosting told me that even though my site didn't have that many visitors but the resource usage was exceeding the limit of the shared hosting account I have with them and they had to shut down my site.... At that point, I had a decision to make.... Do I let my web hosting shut me down and take down the exciting Dollfie Dream news that everyone want to read about? Or do I step away from the economical shared hosting solution to a Virtual Private Server (VPS)? Decision... decision...
Posted on August 12, 2011 | 4 Comments | This post has 512 viewsFollowing up on the Hong Kong Trip 2011 With Saber Lily Dollfie Dream Day 3-4, those of you who has been reading my Hong Kong trip coverage might have noticeable I began to move further and further away from my hotel for breakfast as the days gone by, and the fifth day was no exception! On the fifth morning of since my arrival, I actually took the hotel shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui where I knew at least a handful of traditional restaurants would be open for business quite early in the morning.
Posted on August 6, 2011 | 4 Comments | This post has 616 viewsEver since I came back from the Hong Kong trip, I found myself fighting with an extended jet lag and it really killed my productivity for the past week or so, but I think I have finally managed to overcome that in the past few days. Anyway, for those of you who are following my Hong Kong trip travel log, allow me to present the photos and the local food I have tasted during the day 3-4 of my trip~
