PVC Figure Activities Nov. 2011
Posted on November 7, 2011 | 1 Comment | This post has 322 viewsMajority of my figures collection have always originated from either anime and games that I have enjoyed; and if for some odd chances that I came across a figure that managed to catch my attention and I knew nothing about it, then I would start to search fanatically for information related to the said character... Not a whole lot of PVC figures have caught my attention in the past months or so but since I have spent a little time playing Daiteikoku a few months back (I haven't quite finish the game yet but hoping to get back into it during the holiday season), this Retia Adolf or Lertih Adolf -Ultimate Idol- version has caught my attention. Retia is one of the main heroines you can go after in game and she is crazy strong once you have recruited her. She is said to be the greatest genius in the (Daiteikoku) universe — she dramatically revolutionized the Third Reich's politics, economics, inventions, and military power while cheering on her troops in the Ultimate Idol form (which I never quite got to see in game yet). She even ranked first, with 7902 votes, in Alicesoft's female popularity poll, can anyone else top that? I am really glad that I can finally see what the Ultimate Idol mode looks like :) -

Posted on March 11, 2011 | 3 Comments | This post has 420 viewsWhile majority of my otaku spending is being devoted to pamper my two most favorite Dollife Dream daughters such as DD Saber Lily and DD Kiriha Kuze in recent months, I do occasionally pick up some pvc figures if I find the character design are good enough. Two of such figures emerged from Wonder Festival Winter 2011, and coincidentally both figures are based on characters in recent PSP game from SEGA: Shining Hearts, and to top that off, both characters are designed by famous illustrator Tony Taka. Now, I don't think I need any excuse to say I have always been a Tony Taka fan but since most of his work were focused on the 2D art in the past, I haven't had the opportunity to load up on a lot of figures based on his design yet, except for Kotone Ousaka from Native of course! -

First one is the Volks online store exclusive Fate T. Harlaown. I have been waiting for release info on this figure and a few days ago I found out it is going to be exclusive to Volks online store when I was updating my profile on Tsuki-board. I scambled to dig up my personal shopping service that I haven't used in a few years to get this. I was going to order the whole set of Hayate, Nanoha and Fate, but alas Hayate and Nanoha are already sold out even though the deadline for Hayate is April 15th. -
