  • For the past couple of months, I have been rather ruthless in trimming down my scaled PVC figure collection; and finally it's time to also pick out some of the clothes in my daughters' wardrobe that I no longer need. A couple weeks ago I talked about setting up a Virtual Garage Sale and that is still the plan, I just need to get myself together to start cataloging all the items.

  • I have recently discovered a marketplace site which allows anyone to buy/sell and discover Japanese goods called Flutterscape. If you are like many of us who shares the passion and love for Japanese goods but have no way to acquire them directly, you would most likely ended up to going through some online merchant such as Amiami, Hobbysearch or HLJ just to name a few; or you might even resort into Yahoo Japan Auction if the goods you are looking for are either in back order or out of production phase. Now this is where Flutterscape is different, since it allows anyone to buy an item, list an item for sale, request an item you want or simply to share a product you like! I can't even begin to count how many times I have come across an item I want to get but have no idea where to go find it if no one is listing them on auction.... Now I can upload a photo of what I am looking for and wait for responds.... I know this isn't the best possible way to look for a rare item but it is at least one step better than waiting for someone to list them on auction right?

  • As a figure collectors, I have collected many figures over the years; however, some of them, for a lack of better words, no longer fit into my current collection. I was getting ready to throw them away, but in light of the recent disaster happened in Japan, I thought perhaps I could put them up as a charity auction where all proceeds will be donated to Red Cross disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami.

  • By this time, I am sure majority of us have heard about it, seen it on TV or the Internet so I am not here to repeat the same story to you again. I have been reading all #prayforjapan tweets all day, not that well wishes don't count but with us being thousands of miles away, words can only mean so much. I am a man of action and instead of watching the news and feeling sorry for the people who are affected by this earthquake, I choose to do something about it. I was getting ready to do the "REDCROSS" text message to send a quick donation to American Redcross this morning but only to find out that there was no mentioning of where that money will go to.

  • Popular Online Shop Getchu.com begin blocking non Japan IP

I am sure we have all heard of some eroge game companies began blocking access to non-Japanese IP addresses some months ago, but until recently it really hasn't affected me all that much until yesterday... I found out one of my favorite online shop Getchu.com, they sell Anime DVDs, various Anime related merchandises, Games, Music, Books, Doujin, and the all important Eroges... and I have been using their website for the latest releases in Japan because they have a very comprehensive coverage on just about everything, not just eroges... But my worst fear have happened last night, they have begun blocking Non-Japanese IP. At first I thought their site might have went down...
