  • Normally Wonder Festival isn't something I would keep track of or even follow closely in real time, however since I caught a glimpse of a Tony Taka inspired Megurine Luka in my google+ stream a few days ago, I decided that I want to see how this figure turns out. Now, while I have never been a Vocaloid fan per say, but I have always have taken an interest in Luka since her character is very much inline with my taste; it has been frustrating to see all these merchandises and figures for Miku but there has yet to be one decent figure of Luka!

  • As the end of the year is closing in on us, spending much of my holiday, building my new desk, cleaning up and reorganizing my room (more on that later), I finally realized at the rate of which my Dollfie Dream population is growing within the past couple of years, I must do something to get rid of some old stuff... so for the past couple of days I have been cleaning up the crawl space out of old stuffs that I haven't used in years, in an attempt to free up storage space for items I don't use frequently... More importantly, even though that I have known for years by now, that a good number of my PVC figure collection needed to go to make way for newer figures and more Dollfie Dream of course.

  • It's been over 2 years since Good Smile Company announced one of my all time favorite PVC figures Saber Lily -Distant Avalon-, and it was more or less the reason why this blog was created in the first place... as I have explained in numerous occasions that the reason I even stumbled into the blogging world was because I was looking for more information related to this gorgeous figure... then the next thing I knew, I stumbled onto Dannychoo.com (and coincidentally, Danny is running a Saber Lily figure giveaway, why not head over there to check it out?) then before I knew it.... I got myself into the dark side ... I mean the world of Dollfie Dream... the rest is pretty much self-evident here.  ^^;

  • It's been a long time since I decided to purchase any PVC figures, but as I mentioned two weeks ago, I started watching Steins;Gate in a marathon run and before I knew it, I was already searching all over the internet for more Kurisu goodies. Fortunately for most of us who are late in getting on the Steins;Gate bandwagon, Kotobukiya is doing a second run of their 1/8 Kurisu Makise Steins;Gate figure right now so we won't have to pay those insane markup prices for out of stock figures~

  • It's been a while since I decided to add any new PVC figure to my collection, but I think I have been struck with a Kurisu Makise 牧瀬紅莉栖 fever ever since I started my Steins;Gate marathon roughly 24 hours ago. I had no idea that Steins;Gate was a joint effort from Nitroplus which also brought us awesome eroge game such as Deus Machina Demonbane and 5pb. Inc. Now, Kurisu isn't normally what I would call a top notch bishoujo; but she certainly stands out from the run of the mill characters for me. And as comrade Tier have said so himself in his Kurisu Makise figure review, you don't normally find characters wearing short pants with pantyhose (ok, I admit I have a pantyhose fetish...), and I have to agree that certainly contributed greatly in my decision to add her to my ever growing list of 2D harem.

  • While majority of my otaku spending is being devoted to pamper my two most favorite Dollife Dream daughters such as DD Saber Lily and DD Kiriha Kuze in recent months, I do occasionally pick up some pvc figures if I find the character design are good enough. Two of such figures emerged from Wonder Festival Winter 2011, and coincidentally both figures are based on characters in recent PSP game from SEGA: Shining Hearts, and to top that off, both characters are designed by famous illustrator Tony Taka. Now, I don't think I need any excuse to say I have always been a Tony Taka fan but since most of his work were focused on the 2D art in the past, I haven't had the opportunity to load up on a lot of figures based on his design yet, except for Kotone Ousaka from Native of course!
