Tribute to My Nikon D5000
Posted on November 2, 2011 | 1 Comment | This post has 761 viewsIt was soon after I decided to go into the world of Dollfie Dream, I thought if there was one other hobby that will complement my Dollfie Dream collection, it would have to be photography! To me, while it is important to spend time dressing up Dollfie Dream girls with various costumes, it is just as important to be able to capture those precious moments to the best of my ability so I can enjoy them again. I tried to do what I could with the camera gear I had at the time, but It didn't take very long before I decided to purchase my first DSLR Nikon 5000. While it was probably my first serious attempt at digital photography, I have managed to created many fond memories with my Dollfie Dream daughters. It was the right camera for me at the time, and I have learned a lot during these past two years and achieved a good understanding of its potential and capabilities; however, I believe I have reached the point where I am due for an upgrade (as some of you who follow my twitter stream might have noticed). With all that said, I am going to dedicate this post to pay tribute to my D5000 to show case some of the photos I have taken with it ~ -

I initially chose Wolfheinrich.com because it is my online alias, but it isn't exactly very readable or easy to remember for first time visitor; so after some serious consideration, I have decided to acquire a new domain name dollfigure.com that simply points to my permanent domain Wolfheinrich.com, after all, it's a whole lot easier to tell someone to go to dollfigure.com than wolfheinrich.com.... how did you spell that again? As we all know, the distribution mechanics for limited Dollfie Dream is rather unique or should I say, highly time sensitive. Once we missed the boat initially, collectors old and new most likely have to end up dipping into one of the most popular aftermarket distribution channel, also known as Yahoo Japan Auction. Now, let it be known that I have always have a strong distaste for online auction for goods with limited availability, because once the availability of the said good is determined to be rare, it becomes a highly seller oriented market, which is bad for most of us who are looking to acquire the said goods. -

Rin Tohsaka 1/7 PVC Unlimited Blade Works Version

However, there are still some notable exceptions, the upcoming Rin Tohsaka 1/7 Unlimited Blade Works version is one such exception. I have made no secret in the past that I have always been a Rin Tohsaka fan, more so than the original Saber. It has always bothered me that Saber got all the glory from being the main heroine of Fate/Stay Night and got all the merchandise treatment, while leaving the equally likable Rin Tohsaka in the uncomfortable position, lacking any major merchandising love... in fact, in my opinion, there hasn't been one single Rin Tohsaka PVC figure that's worthy to be her namesake! While I was extremely fortunate in a way that I was able to acquire her Dollfie Dream form to ensure she has a proper representation in my harem lineup; however, that is not to say that I won't try to acquire a proper representation in PVC form either. Since Unlimited Blade Works is my favorite arc of the original story, it just made the decision making process that much easier! -

This time I picked my Dollfie Dream Daughters Grand Glorious Gathering Sixteen Daughters Version, from a few months ago. It's always a pleasure to see how the Volks USA staffs react to my photo. Someone once said, a photographer is an artist who draws with light, I personally find that a very profound statement. As a photo artist, I have more or less developed my own style and preferences for my Dollfie Dream Photography over the years. I am still very much working to improve my photography skills, hopefully I will keep getting better at it :D -
