Dollfie Dream Saber Lily Archive
Posted on June 26, 2011 | 11 Comments | This post has 1,366 viewsFor the past week or so I have been hinting the release of a new photo set featuring my lovely site mascot and associate editor Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily, but the real timeline of this project actually dated back in December of last year where I lay down the ground work for this project. Back in December 2010, soon after Lily arrived, I had her put on one of the maid dress I acquired from Le chat de neige in the Trinity of Dollfie Dream Saber Maid blog post, a highly sought after Dollfie Dream fashion label in Yahoo Japan Auction.
Posted on June 24, 2011 | 4 Comments | This post has 612 viewsI have been looking to upgrade Saber Lily dollfie and Kiriha dollfie to peach pai for some time now, but the supply has been low for the past couple of months; so when I spotted them on auction a couple weeks ago, I knew I just have to get them! To my surprise, the Le chat de neige dress that Lily is wearing right is actually compatible with Peach Pai! What an important discovery! It goes without saying that Peach Pai ぴ～ち☆パイ is probably one of the most successful aftermarket accessories for Dollfie Dream, if the natural looking shape, realistic appearance and incredible cleavages are not enough to convince you, may be Sasara chan will help :3
Posted on June 18, 2011 | 3 Comments | This post has 669 viewsI talked about how I have been preparing for my trip back to Hong Kong in July in my last blog post. Since I will be meeting loads of online comrades for the first time, so I have to prepare a bunch of new name cards this year. Those of you who have good memory may remember I had a batch of name cards to pass around in Anime Expo last year, but since then, I have already moved my web domain, the old card is sadly not accurate anymore...
Posted on June 10, 2011 | 4 Comments | This post has 335 viewsIt's been 7 years since I last set foot on Hong Kong and since I am not much of a traveling fan; I just haven't had much motivation to go back until I got acquainted with fellow Dollfie Dream parents in Hong Kong thru various social media channels, such as twitter, figure.fm and outoysland.com. The temptation to go back and visit these newly acquainted comrades all over Asia has been strong for the past two years and after finding out that a bunch of DD parents from mainland China, Singapore, Thailand and Philippines are also going to Hong Kong in July to attend Dollism Plus 6, an event that is similar to other doll events in Japan, the decision was easy, I had to seize this opportunity to meet fellow DD parents from all over Asia all in one swoop!
Posted on May 29, 2011 | 8 Comments | This post has 1,322 viewsOne of the key parts of Dollfie Dream photography is about getting to understand the construction your Dollfie Dream and their respective poseability between the basic DD II body and the DD Dynamite body, what they can do and what they cannot do. Now, let me make it clear that I didn't break my dear daughter's neck :3, however, I decided to change some my daughters to replacement neck joint from Cool Cat Collection because of the very promising improved durability and poseability it can provide~ Here I have my lovely Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily to show you one of them~

Posted on March 21, 2011 | 18 Comments | This post has 1,971 viewsEver since I began collecting Dollfie Dream some years ago, it has always bothered me that some of the very crucial information such as how to go about acquiring one, and how much does it cost to actually get one are often difficult to find especially for someone new to the hobby. As we all know, the distribution mechanics for limited Dollfie Dream is rather unique or should I say, highly time sensitive. Once we missed the boat initially, collectors old and new most likely have to end up dipping into one of the most popular aftermarket distribution channel, also known as Yahoo Japan Auction. Now, let it be known that I have always have a strong distaste for online auction for goods with limited availability, because once the availability of the said good is determined to be rare, it becomes a highly seller oriented market, which is bad for most of us who are looking to acquire the said goods.
Posted on March 20, 2011 | No Comments | This post has 554 viewsThis called for immediate action even though I had other plans in mind for the weekend (such as pampering DD Saber Lily some more!), I simply had to drop everything to address the WHS missing drive failure first. It was extremely fortunate that I have more or less anticipated this situation to happen at some point in time and had purchased an extra green drive that has been sitting idle the whole time. I quickly followed the instruction and added the new drive to the JABOD pool and began the removal procedure of the bad drive. It gave me a warning that I might lose my PC backup and proceed to prepare the system for the drive removal. It took about 30+ minutes (I have heard some people had their WHS thrown into an infinite loop, fortunately it didn't happen here), the system came back and told me it's now safe to remove the drive.
Posted on March 14, 2011 | 15 Comments | This post has 1,275 viewsThus, March 14, or 3/14, becomes the Pi Day. However, I am going to have a different take on it. As intriguing as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, I am more interested in the ratio of a perfect Dollfie Dream Oppai (Pi)... Just what exactly make up a perfect Dollfie Dream Oppai? As we all know, Dollfie Dream Oppai can comes in all different shape and sizes, some are more spherical than the others... some are more like peach looking shape... some are just plain flat..... So today, we are going to take a look at a collection of Dollfie Dream Oppai photos I have taken over the years, and perhaps that will help us home in to our solution in the future! Let it be known that we will not solve this problem in one day, we must continuously observe as many Dollfie Dream Oppai as we can before we can finally achieve our goal!
Posted on March 14, 2011 | 5 Comments | This post has 544 viewsFor the past day or so I have been working to reorganize my cluttered desk in order to free up the needed space to get as many Dollfie Dream daughters on my desk as possible... besides DD Saber Lily and DD Kiriha Kuze who are always on my desk except when they are in the midst of a photo shoot. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what I needed to do to free up more space... until it finally struck me the other day that what I needed to do was to get at least one of the monitors off my desk, thus allowing me to push some of the stuff on my desk further to the edges. Almost immediately, I began browsing around various computer accessories sites to look for the right option, should I try to find a monitor stand? All of the stands I looked at seemed to cost more than what I was willing to pay and they won't do what I really want to do. Then after a few days it once again struck me that what I should be really be looking for is a VESA mount instead of a monitor stand!
