Tribute to My Nikon D5000
Posted on November 2, 2011 | 1 Comment | This post has 761 viewsIt was soon after I decided to go into the world of Dollfie Dream, I thought if there was one other hobby that will complement my Dollfie Dream collection, it would have to be photography! To me, while it is important to spend time dressing up Dollfie Dream girls with various costumes, it is just as important to be able to capture those precious moments to the best of my ability so I can enjoy them again. I tried to do what I could with the camera gear I had at the time, but It didn't take very long before I decided to purchase my first DSLR Nikon 5000. While it was probably my first serious attempt at digital photography, I have managed to created many fond memories with my Dollfie Dream daughters. It was the right camera for me at the time, and I have learned a lot during these past two years and achieved a good understanding of its potential and capabilities; however, I believe I have reached the point where I am due for an upgrade (as some of you who follow my twitter stream might have noticed). With all that said, I am going to dedicate this post to pay tribute to my D5000 to show case some of the photos I have taken with it ~ -

While I am never a fan of selling my collection, but I guess I will have to if I want to stay on this hobby because I will run out of space sooner or later; so I am considering putting her up for adoption so she may find a new loving home. -

This time I picked my Dollfie Dream Daughters Grand Glorious Gathering Sixteen Daughters Version, from a few months ago. It's always a pleasure to see how the Volks USA staffs react to my photo. Someone once said, a photographer is an artist who draws with light, I personally find that a very profound statement. As a photo artist, I have more or less developed my own style and preferences for my Dollfie Dream Photography over the years. I am still very much working to improve my photography skills, hopefully I will keep getting better at it :D -

However, the convergence of various factors this year including the chance of meeting some of the friends I have made online at figure.fm, a trip to Volks USA and meeting Danny in person were enough to convince me to make this journey. Not to mention that based on my previous experience at Acen 2010, an anime convention is the perfect opportunity for me to take my Dollfie Dream daughter outside for some intense photo sessions without having to worry about uncomfortable stare from onlookers not familiar with Japanese anime. So, for this past weekend, I have picked my most pampered Dollfie Dream, DD娃娃 Kiriha Kuze 紅瀬桐葉 to accompany me to Anime Expo 2010 in Los Angeles! -

I logged on to my SonyRewards website and clicked Redeem ..... 50k Sony Reward Points for the Sony HDR-CX150 16GB High Definition Handycam Camcorder, one of the entry level HD Camcorders. The folks at Sony Rewards did an amazing job in getting this new toy out to me in 2 days! And here I have my daughters introducing my new video gear! -

I didn't plan on going to this event originally, however, fellow blogger Anonymous_Object from Cool & Spicy is traveling across the state line to come to this convention, so I decided to go as well since it would be a good opportunity to see his Yui in person.
