  • E2046 Share your kit progam

A few days ago I got an email from E2046 about a share your kit progam, I read on and found out they are interested in collecting out of production resin kits and bring them back to life! And in the process give you a little commission back. I pondered for a while and think about may be I should bust out my Realize Original Kit No.33 1/4.5 Asuka! She was first featured on a Hobby Japan Extra 1998 Spring.

  • Pre-order list creep April 7th, 2009

My list of pre-ordered figures is creeping up on me again, visiting various blog sites and keeping myself update on release info is not helping me at all, yup, not helping. First one is the Volks online store exclusive Fate T. Harlaown. I have been waiting for release info on this figure and a few days ago I found out it is going to be exclusive to Volks online store when I was updating my profile on Tsuki-board. I scambled to dig up my personal shopping service that I haven't used in a few years to get this. I was going to order the whole set of Hayate, Nanoha and Fate, but alas Hayate and Nanoha are already sold out even though the deadline for Hayate is April 15th.

  • Figurine promotion and relegation battle

I have talked about how I value my figurine collection and they must be protected from dust and dirt with my weather sealing film. However, due to lack of display area in the past, I have never been able to protect every figurine I wanted to. With the new display area online and the 10 or so figures that are due to arrive later this year, I have decided to introduce a new system that can promote/demote my figurine collection from my dust protection system.

  • Figure Collection Topic – Dust shield +1

I have discussed how I use 3M film to protect my figurine collection from dust, but there was always a big flaw in my original plan. The fact that I leave the bottom edge open for easy access has led to some figurines being covered in dust due to air draft from some of my computers. As anyone who has done failure mode analysis would tell you, prevention is always weighted more importantly than detection. Cleaning the dust after you see them is in no way as effective as preventing the dust from accumulating in the first place. It's also my believe that dust get attracted to object because of the charged ion in the air within indoor environment. Conventionally, you would use a brush to brush off the dust, but that alone could generate static charge on the surface that ended up attracting the dust again. Have you ever gotten the feeling why you can't quite brush the dust off?

  • March loot wrap up March 27th

I am particularly worried about this Queen's Gate Alice shipment, since it has taken almost 3 weeks for it to arrive. Luckily, the shipper finally agreed to ship Alice out with a card board box (Pretty weak looking box if you ask me, and no bubble wrap). I would like to mention special thanks to comrade twu from theinfernoproject.wordpress.com for his warning on this seller's habit of not properly packaging shipment and enrius from enrius.wordpress.com for giving us his status as well. Since we all have ordered Alice from the same ebay seller. This is excellent collaboration at work here.
