First, let’s take a look at 夜明け前より瑠璃色な-Moonlight Cradle Premium pack, it comes with the PS2->PC version of the Brighter than dawning blue (Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro na) without the eroge scene, and the new release Moonlight Cradle, an after story of the original cast from Brighter than dawning blue. Estel Freesia, a graduate from the Moon Church School and got assigned to Earth (introduced in the PS2 version) and Cynthia Marguerite, a Moonlight Cradle exclusive cast.
For those who are not into eroge gaming, this could be your chance to play the Brighter than dawning blue and experience the game without the eroge scene. And with the assistance of AGTH – Anime Games Text Hooker, it’s possible to nagivate the game without being fluent in Japanese.
Update: I have updated this page to include some of my new posts on the game
Feena fam Earthlight’s normal ending
A whole array of merchandise have been released to capitalize on the success of the series, various PVC Figures, Dakimakura and bathing towel have been released to satisfy fan of the series. The most recent issue of G’s Festival and G’s Festival Comic also come with bonus large size Dakimakura and bathing towel featuring the main heroine Feena Fam Earthlight.
Next up is Schoolmate Sweets! A cell shading 3D game released by Illusion soft, an extension of the previous release back in May of 2007. Being a fandisk release, Illusion has strip down a lot of the customize control from the previous release.
After finishing all the story mode for a character, you are sent right back to the opening screen to start over
Then there is the Free mode which allow you choose the character(s) and clothes (or lack there of) you like and position them in a photo session like Digitial Girl Rin
I have to say that the 3D cell shading aspect of the game has been improved and a little more refined, but overall, it feels like a dump down version of a full release game (afterall, this is only a fandisk release and only priced for 6090 yen). It’s nice to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the action. However, if you are an experience gamer looking for improved control over the original Schoolmate, you are probably going to be disappointed.
After playing with it for a little while longer, I find that Schoolmate Sweets! really isn’t that bad after all. Sure, this isn’t a brand new game and it’s nothing involved like Artifical Girl 3 and the original Schoolmate, but it’s rather fun to play around with. May be it’s just me, but I find the cell shading in Schoolmate Sweets! to be more enjoyable. And that I can choose to enjoy the action rather than struggling with the mouse to try to keep the action going like the original game!
