  • Ever since I began collecting Dollfie Dream some years ago, it has always bothered me that some of the very crucial information such as how to go about acquiring one, and how much does it cost to actually get one are often difficult to find especially for someone new to the hobby. As we all know, the distribution mechanics for limited Dollfie Dream is rather unique or should I say, highly time sensitive. Once we missed the boat initially, collectors old and new most likely have to end up dipping into one of the most popular aftermarket distribution channel, also known as Yahoo Japan Auction. Now, let it be known that I have always have a strong distaste for online auction for goods with limited availability, because once the availability of the said good is determined to be rare, it becomes a highly seller oriented market, which is bad for most of us who are looking to acquire the said goods.

  • This called for immediate action even though I had other plans in mind for the weekend (such as pampering DD Saber Lily some more!), I simply had to drop everything to address the WHS missing drive failure first. It was extremely fortunate that I have more or less anticipated this situation to happen at some point in time and had purchased an extra green drive that has been sitting idle the whole time. I quickly followed the instruction and added the new drive to the JABOD pool and began the removal procedure of the bad drive. It gave me a warning that I might lose my PC backup and proceed to prepare the system for the drive removal. It took about 30+ minutes (I have heard some people had their WHS thrown into an infinite loop, fortunately it didn't happen here), the system came back and told me it's now safe to remove the drive.

  • For the past day or so I have been working to reorganize my cluttered desk in order to free up the needed space to get as many Dollfie Dream daughters on my desk as possible... besides DD Saber Lily and DD Kiriha Kuze who are always on my desk except when they are in the midst of a photo shoot. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what I needed to do to free up more space... until it finally struck me the other day that what I needed to do was to get at least one of the monitors off my desk, thus allowing me to push some of the stuff on my desk further to the edges. Almost immediately, I began browsing around various computer accessories sites to look for the right option, should I try to find a monitor stand? All of the stands I looked at seemed to cost more than what I was willing to pay and they won't do what I really want to do. Then after a few days it once again struck me that what I should be really be looking for is a VESA mount instead of a monitor stand!

  • While majority of my otaku spending is being devoted to pamper my two most favorite Dollife Dream daughters such as DD Saber Lily and DD Kiriha Kuze in recent months, I do occasionally pick up some pvc figures if I find the character design are good enough. Two of such figures emerged from Wonder Festival Winter 2011, and coincidentally both figures are based on characters in recent PSP game from SEGA: Shining Hearts, and to top that off, both characters are designed by famous illustrator Tony Taka. Now, I don't think I need any excuse to say I have always been a Tony Taka fan but since most of his work were focused on the 2D art in the past, I haven't had the opportunity to load up on a lot of figures based on his design yet, except for Kotone Ousaka from Native of course!

  • Some of you from figure.fm and dannychoo.com readers probably remembered that I have worked with Danny to provide him with some oversea otaku room video footage for his Culture Japan TV show, whereas a short video clip of my room was shown in the 1 hour edition of Culture Japan episode 0 that was broadcast in Animax TV Network. Since the episode 0 went so well, they decided to go with a full season. Now where do I get involved in all of these? Well actually back in December of last year, I had prepared another video clip of my room for Danny, this time to focus on my Dollfie Dream daughters for the new year special edition!

  • Yoroshiku onegaishimasu~ my name is DD Saber Lily and I am the 19th and the youngest Dollfie Dream daughter in my Otousan Wolfheinrich's family of DD daughters. You ask what am I doing here? Well Otousan was very happy that I did so well in the last photo session (honestly I didn't quite remember what happened then since my head was dizzy and my body was feeling hot the whole time), that I should become his assistant editor and site mascot to help him so he spend more time on improving the site and visit his blogroll mates more often. I don't know how often I would be able to blog and I am not quite sure if I can handle this task of being the site mascot yet but I will try to do my very best to bring you the latest happenings in our Dollfie Dream Family and various photo shoot news flash.
