I'm a life long Otaku (mid-30s) that has recently taken up the interest of writing my own blog site after visiting Dannychoo.com. I grew up watching Kaman Rider V3, Daitetsujin 17 and Spaceship Yamato. My main interest is to collect figures, gunpla, search for and collect anime and superheros back in the 80s (super classic fan), but I do try to keep in touch with current trend.

  • It's been quite a few year since I have in this Dollfie Dream hobby and I have been going back to Hong Kong to attend Dollism for the past two years. While it was fun going back to Hong Kong and all, meeting up with local comrades, and to aimlessly wander around the streets of Kowloon; however, after the trip from last year, I just felt I needed to step it up and go for the real thing in Japan!

    Once again, we are within the two weeks window of Dolpa 29 and it's usually this time that Volks USA to update their website and hold their own announcement for the limited items.   • While it's true that my focus hasn't been on PVC figures for some time, but Mecha Nurse Girl Nana is definitely one of those figures I wish to keep, buying a new one is out of the question as she has been long sold out ... and seeing the broken area is a moving joint, my only viable option is to pin it back together with a slight interference fit so the resulting wing will retain its ability to swing. Personally, I have never been real big about DIY, it's my strong believe that everyone has their true area of expertise and I should just focus on doing what I am good at and leave the rest to other who excel in their respective fields. Then there is situation like this where it's not exactly convenient to have someone else fix this up for me.... and considering it's been a while since I have done a Otaku Project post, this would be a perfect opportunity!

This time is Alice Kuonji 久遠寺有珠 from Type Moon visual novel Mahōtsukai no Yoru 魔法使いの夜, the 2nd Dollfie Dream from the series after Aoko Aozaki.

  • Based on the information available at DD-blog, it appears that there will not be any DD Asuna available for pick up during the event, everyone will be directed to place pre-order at the event, quantity limited. It is also unclear if there will be any available for the After Event lottery. It's sad news for everyone and I think we need to voice our opinion to Volks and hopefully change their mind about this. As they have make DD Lucy available for pre-order in addition to the After Event, if enough of us take action and voice our concern to Volks, perhaps we can avoid the dooms day scenario.

  • As one of the original five dollfie dream I have picked to adopt (Fate was eventually bumped to sixth due to Rin arriving first), there is little doubt that I have always liked Fate, whether it was in the original series, A's or StrikerS.... Although instinctively, I have always preferred her StrikerS form, for reason I don't think I need to elaborate here www. But up until most recently, I don't think I have ever been truly satisfied with any of the StrikerS Fate figure. Then about a few weeks ago, I looked up Freeing's Fate Bunny ver. review by my long time comrade Tier and my immediate reaction after reading his review was to get my hands on the figure.
