Dollfie Dream Fate T. Harlaown Easter Bunny Version

It seemed like it’s been forever since I have selected Dollfie Dream Fate T. Harlaown as my main model for a photo shoot, the last time I did it was back in 2010 when I dressed her up in her TSAB Officer uniform.  It is not that I don’t like Fate as much as my favorites such as DD Saber Lily or DD サクヤ Sakuya, but for whatever reasons I have always had mixed feelings about her look.

As one of the original five dollfie dream I have picked to adopt (Fate was eventually bumped to sixth due to Rin arriving first), there is little doubt that I have always liked Fate, whether it was in the original series, A’s or StrikerS…. Although instinctively, I have always preferred her StrikerS form, for reason I don’t think I need to elaborate here www.  But up until most recently, I don’t think I have ever been truly satisfied with any of the StrikerS Fate figure.  Then about a few weeks ago, I looked up Freeing’s Fate Bunny ver. review by my long time comrade Tier and my immediate reaction after reading his review was to get my hands on the figure.

While I don’t normally take photos of my PVC figures these days, it just feels right this time since Freeing’s Fate is 1/4 scale and it will look to be within scale along with my Dollfie Dream Fate; and on top of that, I just happen to have a red bunny suit as well.  Given the somewhat mixed feelings I have always had regarding how Fate is suppose to look in 3 dimensional form, I thought it will be a fairly good opportunity to pair them up together to decide, once and for all, just how do I feel about Dollfie Dream Fate.

Freeing’s has always been good about their bunny girl figure, my last Freeing’s Bunny was Ryoko Asakura, and this Fate Bunny ver. is no exception!  Personally, I think this might be the best looking StrikerS Fate figure I have seen to-date.

And the moment I paired them up together, I realized I might be wrong about Dollfie Dream Fate after all….  Luckily Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 2nd A’s just came out on disc a few days ago, wouldn’t it be interesting to see how the different versions of Fate look side by side?

Which one do you prefer?  Freeing’s Bunny version?  Movie version? or the Dollfie Dream version?

Perhaps somewhere along the line, I might have imposed some unrealistic expectation on how Fate is suppose to look in 3 dimensional form?   In any event, this little exercise here has helped me concluded that I like my Dollfie Dream Fate as she is!  Ahem, this could possibly be the longest prologue I have written here… haha, anyway, back to my original topic, with Easter just around the corner, I might as well do a Easter Theme photo shoot?

Speaking in terms of bunny suit though, I think I like the addition of the Swallowtail Jacket!
