What we have been waiting for! Dollfie Dream Sakuya from Shining Blade, MDD III Cirno from Touhou Project and DD Rise Kujikawa from Persona 4 are set to debut in the upcoming Dolpa 27 in May!

Edit: Finally a clear image of DD Sakuya’s spec emerged from the web! What we see here finally is that Sakuya will come standard DDIII-L with her default Noir combat dress and her katana, which contribute to her higher than usual price. What’s noteworthy here is that the sculptor is not named :s so we don’t really know who designed her face mold, other than she shares a resemblance to Neris.

Cirno will have an alternate limited dress priced at 8800yen
What is interesting here is that Cirno also has unspecified sculptor, I thought for sure it ought to be Misaki’s handy work, but I guess not. As expected, Cirno will come with the redesigned Mini Dollfie Dream III body S bust and with some kind of magnet attachment for the wings? Not 100% sure how that’s going to work yet.

So based on the information that is available so far, Rise will come standard with S bust and the sculptor for is Kosuke Kitahara, previous work includes Rina Ogata, Kiriha Kuze, Beatrice, Moe/Natsuki, and Haruka Niimi etc.

My immediate reaction to seeing this was “F@CK!”
I have been struggling with if I should sell one of my three dolls when Saber Alter arrives because I’m not aiming to have a huge collection of dolls, just a few of them. I figured three is a nice number to sit at and stay at and I would then be able to afford time and money wise buying things for my existing dolls.
But I’m a huge Touhou fan and I’ve always thought having an MDD would be nice as a size contrast to my others plus easier placement around the room, etc. So Cirno is a curse, I want her because of the character and size but also don’t want her because it might make my collection too big. GAH! Anyone have thoughts on this? Run into similar problems with not wanting more due to spending attention towards a few vs. many?
Sakuya is looking terrific!
But a 10k price difference between Sakuya and Rise? That seems a lot just for the difference in franchise fee or could it be the more intricate outfit that increases the cost that much?
Taking a look at other announced items I’m pretty interested in the new wig style W-143D.
Well, looks like Sakuya has her Katana so that’s where the price difference come from. I am liking Sakuya most and will definitely pick her up~

Cirno looks pretty good imo if you are a touhou fan, that would be an easy decision. I am going after Sakuya alone in this dolpa~~
Welp, After thinking about it I’ve decided to test my luck and try for Cirno when the lottery opens. Never thought I’d be a potential dolfie owner.
Oh and thanks for the beginners guide wolf. It answered the “where do I hand my credit card” question lol.
I do have one question though, when does this event take place? and How soon after it’s over will the lottery open up in the Volks USA site? — wait that was two questions.. >_>;
Cirno is a fine choice, she looks rather lovely imo even though I am not interested in her. Unfortunately, I doubt that Cirno would be available for USA lottery; however, she should be available for the After Event which should put it sometime in mid to late May. I will blog about the event as usual to remind everyone about it.
Alrighty, so in the event she isn’t sold in the US lottery ,my last choice would be going through proxy through the Volks Japan site?

These dollfies are so pretty. I love the Mini Dollfie Dream. I really want to go to this event, but unfortunately for me i live in America. This stinks.
