[Eroge Game] Alicesoft Daiteikoku Preview

Ever since eroge game publisher Alicesoft began blocking non-Japan IP addresses from accessing their site sometime last year, access to the most up-to-date information regarding their new releases has been difficult.  However, I was finally able to track down some information of their latest blockbuster game that is due to release in in April 28.  This new game call Daiteikoku 大帝国 is a area conquering SLG that is going to have a similar playing mechanics to past popular titles like Daiakuji, Daibanchou and Sengoku Rance.  It is said that Daiteikoku took 4 years to develop, and used up 3 games’ worth of resource, with the longest script among Alicesoft releases to date.

Years before the Universe was United, small Human fractions dotted parts of the vast Universe. Individual States were established and navigating to other areas of the Solar system required a few hundred years. Contact with other countries was virtually impossible.

Soon the Eris Empire noted the strange stars that existed in the space region. As their Research advanced, they discovered that these stars can move instantly from one area to another area.

Labeling it the “Warp Gate” This allowed many stars systems that had been isolated to make first contact with each other and so began the Age of Discovery.

Through Aggression and conquest, Repeated Destruction and Submission, the Nations began to build civilizations from one star to the next.

The National Eris Empire Council is the worlds largest empire able to restore the world order and suppress chaos,

Imperial Japan was the world’s oldest nation, and worn out during the prolonged war with the Chinese empire, it is the largest one being targeted.

And here is a run down with some of the major factions, most of these information are taken from the discussion thread in Hongfire.

Great Japan Empire – Protagonist Togo Tsuyoshi, most probably based on famed Japanese navy admiral Togo Heihachiro.

Aeris Empire – throughout the vast colonies of the Aeris Empire, governors are mistreating the natives (read Apartheid) and revolts escalating. The bishoujo queen of Aeris is desperately trying to hold her decaying empire from falling apart.

Dokutsu 3rd Empire  – suffered humiliation in the previous war, and is now led by a genius blond teenage girl motivated to restore honor.

Human Unified Organization Soviet  – Catherlin chan toppled imperial Russia, and founded the Human Unified Organization. She wants to make everyone in the world equal…

Gamerican Republic – ruled by a puppet president, manipulated by a secret society (read Freemason)

Since there are four main gals from Gamerica, it is not clear whether one of them could emerges as a game heroine yet, but I am having the hot for the lower left gal Carroll Killing, she is theojosama of major weapons manufacturer and also happened to be the younger sister of Togo’s deceased wife.

Alicesoft has always been an expert in SLG gameplay, and based on the gameplay screen shots, Daiteikoku should be a worthy successor to “Dai” series of games.
