As we approach the 2nd pre-order period for the White Album X Dollfie Dream collaboration project, Volks has released the more refined images of Dollfie Dream Rina and Yuki for us! I am very pleased to see these refined images of Rina and Yuki as they become much closer to what I would expect them to look like in Dollfie Dream form.
As some of you might recalled, I briefly mentioned in my last post that I expected some tweaks on the new girls and this is exactly the type of tweak I have been looking for! Yuki looks a bit younger and more innocent and Rina looking sexy and foxy like she is!For comparison sake, I have included the prototype image on the right~
The finalized Rina on the left hands down looking more refined than the prototype image on the right!

Ok, I know I am bias on Rina, let’s take a look at Yuki too 
Yuki is looking more in line with my expectation too! I know I am taking her home for sure! Have you placed your pre-order yet?

“These kinds of cute, collaboration DD girls are always more difficult to re-release because of copyright issues! For the same reason, their numbers are more limited. We rarely have extras! So, don’t miss this last chance to pre-order while you can!”
So, for those of you who don’t understand why Dollfie Dream are always limited in nature, this is exactly why!

gosh Yuki is so cute, she feels softer in the update, I do wish that the compression of the photos are better tho, want to see the details clearer ^^;
Yes, I don’t know if I have the right words for these new photos except they are more “refined” Nina noticed the gap between the eyebrows and eyeholes for Yuki is shorter in the new faceup. I think the details on Yuki are very good now, the pics on Rina is still difficult to tell the little details though.
Much better! Now that’s what I was hoping to see!
I now really like Yuki. Before she looked kind of wooden (and older). Rina looks a lot better as well, but I think I like Yuki better now. ^^;
I wonder if Volks read the threads at Figure.fm when they made these tweaks?

You know what, “wooden” sounds about right for prototype Yuki as I couldn’t find an appropriate word for the prototype either, it didn’t look like a normal DD would and therefore I said they were going to tweak them more.
I am happy with the new images, and can’t wait to bring them home!
They’re both “softer,” in a way, with fewer sharp points in mouth, nose, chin, etc. Definitely an improvement; looking forward to looking at owner photos. Gee, wonder where I’ll find them? =P
By the way, I remember you saying you didn’t care for K-On because you found the girls too ditzy (as did I). If you’re interested in a more intelligent slice-of-life genre piece, I’d like to recommend the webcomic Sodium Eyes. I can’t think of any other where you’ll find characters discussing the ramifications of teleportation and later comparing themselves to asymptotes.
“Softer” sounds about right, yeah I do feel the same way about the prototype. I was positive they would tweak them to make them more appeal and they did! I have no problem picking these girls up now.
Ah yes, I tried to watch K-On! but it just irritate me so much that I could not continue. Sodium Eyes huh, I should check them out!
If I had money to burn I might consider picking up Yuki even though I don’t know her character, but being a poor art student I’m having a hard enough time saving up for just one DD right now, so it’s not in the cards. I’ll continue lurking YJA for Fate/Nanoha heads and/or waiting for a DD Miku, whichever becomes possible first.
I found K-On after I found Sodium Eyes, which I think may have been part of why I found K-On so disappointing. I watched it expecting at least some spark to the character interaction, and possibly for at least one of the girls to be a real music nerd, but compared to the Sodium Eyes girls they felt flat, boring, and uneducated. I’ll stick to Miya and the others over that any day!
Those White Album Dollfies look cute. No Dollfies for me though, just can’t budget it and I’d rather invest in a new lens for my DSLR.
While I understand the logic of your choice, Dollfie Dream is indeed a bottomless pit. However, once I have gotten on the DD boat, I am having a hard time catching up to the older releases I like. The situation is not unlike people chasing after older release PVC figures, only the case for chasing after older release DD is 10X worst! So, my conclusion is to get on the boat as soon as possible so there is less catch up to do in the long run! Haha Xd
