Seems like I have been making Dollfie Dream related posts a lot recently, so let’s break it up with something else~ What we have here is the 1/4 Fate T. Harlaown Swimsuit version that just arrived at the door today, I have been longing for this figure to pair her up with the previously released 1/4 Nanoha. I wasted little time to take her out of the box and set her up for a photo shoot.
From the story stand point I personally prefer Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s but I have to say I am more attracted to the mature Fate in the StrikerS series~ It’s ok to say that right? Haha
For additional pictures and review, please visit blogging comrade Meronpan’s review and James’s review in Exelica Meteor
The box is pretty big since it’s for 1/4, but then again I am used to seeing 1/3 Dollfie Dream boxes, so it’s really no big deal.
Click on the image for the full scale version as usual~
For the most part, the sculpture is done nicely for the most part …. but there are two major flaws, which I will cover in a little bit. Let’s see if you can spot them out without me pointing that out first~
Close up shot of her top, still a very charming figure despite the flaws… There hasn’t been enough good StrikerS Fate figure, I am slightly disappointed with the defect, hopefully it’s a rare occurrence.
Can’t really do a panchira shot with this figure without looking silly, so we will have to make do with this shot~
Fate is just gorgeous, isn’t she~
After taking a few shots with Fate, Nanoha wanted to join in for the fun~
And the inevitable shot when I pair this two figures together…..
Let’s say it – Symmetrical Docking!
Since neither of this figures could stand on their own and the shear size and weight made it fairly difficult to do a proper docking shot… but my persistent prevailed. I ended up taking them off the support pigs to bring them closer for a proper symmetrical docking shot~
Personally I think Fate’s oppai is bigger ~
Remember I said earlier that there are two major flaws? Here they are~
First one is a little bump on Fate’s torso, it’s not in the line of sight if I have Fate facing forward.

Not the most pleasant thing to see in a figure, the only saving grace is that it is not visible from the front view.
The other flaw, which is slightly easier to spot.
A little finger print on the hair…
So if you are looking to buy this figure, be sure to keep these possible flaws in mind.
Anyway, while I am in the mood for some 1/4 figurine photo, decided to haul Kenshin out for a groupy photo~

LoL to ‘Cho-Ryu-Jin” style..but superb figure Fate & Nanoha..he he put “kenshin” to the pose ^|||^
Lolz, it’s the pose I have always wanted to do when I found out about this pair of figures, ‘Cho-Ryu-Jin’ style is a must ~
Oh !! She is really sensual ^^ I prefer Fate to Nanoha (but i don’t like Nanoha character xD) Thank for this sharing! Your picture are great congratulation
^^; Thanks for stopping by again~
Yes, I like this Fate a lot, very faithful to the original illustration. Ahh yes, I prefer Fate myself too =) Too few good StrikerS Fate, in fact all previous ones were no good. This one capture the feeling well but too bad about the flaws on the one I received T.T
“but I have to say I am more attracted to the mature Fate in the StrikerS series”
Excellent. We won’t have to arrest you then.
But yeah, can’t say I’m too keen on swimsuit Fate, I kinda prefer her with her Zanbar and shit.
I don’t take pedo bait! I prefer the well endowed Fate! Yeah Zanbar and stuff is cool but there hasn’t been a StrikerS Fate that look good enough, this one is the best so far.
i havent seen the anime so didnt pay much attention to these figures, but they look gorgeous in your shots! love the docking action too ^^ and wow 1/3 scale, wonder if those defects are on all the figures XD
I don’t know if the defect are on all the figures >.>; hoping to see another review so I can confirm this is just an isolated incident.
Why so many “Fate” fans here..actually i never watch “nanoha”..maybe i try it.
Nice oppai, twintails, swimsuit, what’s there to not like? Go try the series out XD
I liked StrikerS a lot if not for the fact that adult oppai yuri Nanoha x Fate > loli Nanoha x Fate. XD
Nice seeing those photos of Fate, she does look better in your shots and posed together with Nanoha like that than what you see in most promotional photos where her facial features looked slightly off.
Wha a shame to have those two imperfections on it, looks like a quality control failure to me…
Aye, adult oppai yuri Nanoha X Fate >>> loli Nanoha X Fate, no doubt about that!
She does look better in person than the original promotional picture, it’s really a shame for the imperfection,
Fate is very sexy in this new addition to the StrikerS line, more so I think then Nanoha. Usually, I’m more of a Nanoha fan but I have to admit that Fate has her beat in overall figure quality.
Speaking of quality, sorry to hear about those defects. Lately, it’s been hard to find a Nanoha StrikerS figure that doesn’t either have quality control problems or figure deficiencies in an area or two. Let’s hope that Alter breaks that trend with their upcoming pricy Nanoha and Fate figures.
Always enjoy your figure reviews and Dollfie Dream photography. Thanks for sharing!
Fate has always been my preferred girl in the series XD. I always believe a truly good figure can be sexy without being sexual, I think this Fate swimsuit version qualify as one of them. Too few StrikerS Fate releases and most of them are just not up to par, this GSC version, despite its flaws still come out on top against the Movic and Volks version so far. It’s disappointing indeed, I am hoping it’s an isolated incident and not a wide spread problem for this gorgeous Fate.
Well I dont share the Love most people have for the Nanoha series so I cant really say anything characterwise…
Those flaws you mentioned are pretty unforgiveable for such a high priced figure though.Im not so much turned of by the finger print but that bump is more to my dismay.
When you talked about those flaws and if wed find them I thought you meant sculptwise ^^;
Magical girl is a genre of special interest, not a huge problem if you don’t like that genre; but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying a nice swimsuit oppai figure XD
It’s bad, but it’s not like they will send me a replacement… I am hoping to see more photo review of this figure and see if that’s a widespread problem or not.
Very nice pictures! I haven’t watched much of the TV series but I think I like Fate’s character design best. 1/4 scale is a good scale, a manly scale. Put those together and you get a really nice figure.
More manufacturers should make 1/4 scale figures. I guess I’d really run out of space quickly if they did, though.
.-= Tier´s last blog ..Uesugi Kenshin from Sengoku Rance (Volks A-Brand Version) (NSFW) =-.
Fate is just gorgeous~ love the overall expression from the figure. BTW, I just did the photo shoot for my 1/4 Kenshin, should be posting them soonish.
So much skin ^^;. At least the skin has nice shading/tones.
Also, nice job on the symmetrical docking xD

Lolz, I have dreamed about doing this docking shot for long time! It was a great feeling that I finally accomplished it!
Great review.
“Let’s say it – Symmetrical Docking!” LOL
Personally her face looks way off and I would’ve gone for the Alter one instead.
Was one of the reasons in acquiring her is to complete the swimsuit set?
.-= Optic´s last blog ..Happy Birthday Yui Hirasawa =-.
After a few people pointed out to me that her face is a bit off, I tend to agree, but I seems to like this swimsuit Fate rather than Alter Fate. Sexy swimsuit has more appeal in a Bishoujo figure compare to Battle Ready and I don’t like the way Alter has her mouth open like
, not appealing at all to me. I wouldn’t have gotten Nanoha at all if it hadn’t been for Fate and have them as a matching pair. I’m no fan of Nanoha myself, she is not considered as bishoujo by my criteria.
