I originally planned to hold on to this group photo session before the Dollfie Dream Theater storyline has a chance to catch up and introduce the new character as a surprise element, but Volks USA has informed me yesterday that I have just hit the “surprise element” deadline >.>;;; Anyway, the long and short of it is that I have picked up a 2nd Sasara back in Hometown Nagoya 4 After Event party… but why should I do that? Well, I originally did that because I have no spare parts for DDDy body, so I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pick up a 2nd DDDy body… of course DD Gathering released DDDy body as normal item, so that blew my plan out of the water. But I kept my silence and was hoping to introduce Sasara in the Dollfie Dream Theater as a surprise character, however, Volks USA announced yesterday that they have begun sending Sasara to USA lottery winners >.>; exactly a month earlier than what they had promised.. so my so called surprised plan is not going to work anymore >.>; So, there isn’t any reason for me to hold on to this group photo anymore.
I was hoping to be able to pick up Natsuki and use this photo to celebrate the arrival of 10th daughter, but most of you already knew that didn’t work out too well since DD Gathering open web order is ruthless to anyone outside of Japan.
I included the “original” Asuka oneesan in this photo because it fit the screen better this way~ It took me quite a bit of time to balance every daughters and have them sit where I want them to be @.@;
As usual, click on the image to bring up the full scale image stored in my flickr account. I really love how the photos turns out with my Nikon D5000 and my light umbrella set from Cowboy Studio.
Anyone think the pose for Asuka, Escalayer and Rin look vaguely familiar? That’s right! Everything I was trying to setup in the Hikari Photo Studio was building up for this mega family photo! Since we are in the “autumn” time frame, I have switched the location to show some autumn leaves, though I think my daughters are filling up the screen more >.>;
Of course I have to include my newest daughter Airi in this group photo 
And on a separate note, I have just received confirmation from Volks USA that I have managed to win the lottery for DD Natsuki~
The down side is I won’t be able to see her until next year, so the 10 daughters group photo will have to wait until next year >.>; Well, I should be grateful that I don’t have to pay extra money to adopt her >.>;
Natsuki is HOT, somehow I think she is going to develop some kind of a “relationship” with one of my girls 
I can’t wait to put Natsuki under my own camera lens, I have a feeling that she won’t be overexposed >.>;
While DD Gathering might not have been a successful event for me, it didn’t end in total failure either, somehow I managed to pick up the Lacrosse Attack Player set, Bamboo Sword and some Skin colored body suits.
And of course, just right after the dust settled down on DD Gathering, Volks has already begun the promotional effort for Dollpa 22 >.>; I am actually praying that there won’t be anything I want in Dolpa 22, give my saving account a break! In two weeks, we will know which new Dollfie Dream would be coming out~ Their target date for distribution is Nov. 14th.
Last but not least, my earlier post about my OTACOOL submission has been confirmed to make the cut!

To be in the same book as Danny and Amano Ai and many Otaku comrades I met in figure.fm is just really special!

It’s quite cool to be able to make it on the book, the whole concept of this book is really quite ingenious because I get a chance to share my passion with people around the world. I believe I have talked about it before, it’s not exactly an easy thing to make otaku friend out there, so hopefully this book will serve as a launching pad for me to make new friends who share my passion.
Well, it is true that some of my daughters are getting more favorable treatment than others at this point, but once I have found suitable “maid” outfit for all of them, it won’t matter anymore! Natsuki is indeed something else, I too look forward to have her in the family photo next time.
Fabulous group photos <3 I really love how you posed all the girls for the photos. I find it somewhat hilarious that although you and I both have fairly large dollfie collections we actually only have one doll in common. Congrats on winning Natsuki.
I have another dollfie on the way myself but it is super dollfie, a friend of mine somehow acquired and has no use for so I am trading him a couple of my duplicate Gundam kits for it.

Haha, that’s true. I pick my girls based on how much I like their character, less so about how they actually look. Thanks, I am really looking forward to seeing Natsuki, Volks has not been doing a good job in their promotional pictures and usually overexpose their pictures. Natsuki looks pretty hot even from the overexposed photos, so I am really excited to have her join the family~

You know whats weird? Im always kinda shocked when I see all those Dollfies you own and think man that dude spends alot of money.
But when I look at my shelves and see my 85 figures Im cool with that XD
In the end we pretty much spend the same amount of money but it just seems more irrational with your spending habit cause you spend alot of money at once and i just spend “little” amounts frequently.
Of course its irrational to spend lots of “small” amounts of cash too

Yes, I have spent a lot of money on these Dollfie Dream, but at the same time I have scaled back a lot on other purchases. My preorder list for PVC has shrunk a lot and it’s not growing much at all. I have talked about this before, I am a very focus type of person, I like the characters I adore most and there aren’t very many of them. So it’s advantageous for me to go for their ultimate representation (to me it means their Dollfie Dream), rather than buying many small marginally good looking scaled figures.

Hehe, it’s a dolpa right in my house! Airi’s hair style is rather unique yeah, it’s done very nicely too so it’s easy to maintain.

I should see Natsuki sometime in January, it would have been better if she arrives by the end of the year though. There is also the Dolpa 22 looming over my head, hopefully they won’t release anything I wanted. I can really use a break on the Dollfie streak for a while, I want to build a file server for backup purposes. Got a nice boost on traffic in the past day or so, possibly from the OTACOOL publication.
Congrats on your tenth (and eleventh) daughters. You can buy them some Man U jerseys now. When you get to 22, you can get some Arsenal ones too.
