A bunch of stuffs has been arriving since the beginning of the month, from the figure end, besides the aforementioned GSC Saber Lily, there is also Kotone Ousaka from Native X Max Factory, an illustration turned figure from the all too well known master Tony, and Suku-Mizu Mecha Nurse Girl Nana, another illustration turned figure from the mecha girl expert E-Ji Komatsu.

The GSC Saber Lily came as one of the elegant packages I have ever come across, everything is beautifully executed.

Since I am still not very satisfied with my lighting setup and there are already so many GSC Saber Lily review out there, I feel I should do something a little different here… so I have decided to bring out the only other fixed scale Saber Lily in the market right now, the Gathering Saber Lily against GSC version.

GSC Saber Lily

I personally like both figures, both have their good points and since I am quite a sucker for Saber Lily figure, so got to catch them all!  The GSC version is more elegant and dynamic, but I feel the T System version is a lot closer to original artwork though, especially the facial expression.

Next up is also from my most wanted list for the year, from a collaboration between Native and Max Factory brought us one of Tony’s illustrations, Kotone Ousaka.  The moment I lay my eyes on Kotone back in Feburary, I knew I have got to have her, perhaps a bit (or largely) toward the naughty side of things (hey it’s not like I don’t have naughty figures, they are just hidden… in my secret cabinet, most of you probably haven’t seen them :P ), but so perfectly executed that she will most definitely rank one of my top 10 favorite PVC figures in my collection.  I wanted her so much that I somehow ended up placing two separate orders for her in fear that one of the order might not go through (the 2nd order was through YJA).  But as luck would have it, my original pre-order went through and now I am in possession of 2 Kotone… someday, I might let one go to re-cope the extra money I spent on the YJA.

Kotone is just so overflowing with sex appeal that it’s difficult for me to choose words to describe her without being naughty myself….  I would love to do a detail review for her but since I had just placed an order for a set of light umbrella, I think I will wait until then before doing that.

I rarely buy figure based on just looks, because I would most certainly be broke if I buy everything that looks good to me; so I adopted a criteria that I must like the background story of a character before I decided to buy a figure based on the character.  However, there can be some exceptions from time to time, such as Suku-Mizu Mecha Nurse Girl Nana from the Megami Magazine Creators Vol. 8, illustrated by one of my favorite mecha girl artist E-Ji Komatsu.  If I am not mistaken, this is the first mecha girl figure based on E-Ji Komatsu, and as one of E-Ji’s fan for over 10 years, it would be a shame for me to not pick up this figure.

I don’t buy Orchid Seed figure very often, so I didn’t know what to expect before Nana arrived.  I will do a more thorough overview in due time, but for now let just say Nana is definitely above average quality, almost every other figure lose out a bit when compared against GSC Saber Lily and Native Kotone Ousaka (save for Alter Narika though, but she hasn’t shown up to my door yet >.<).

And here is a shot with all new figures together.

Since HLJ announced the free EMS shipping promotion last month, I couldn’t help myself but tried to find “something” to order to take advantage of the promotion, luckily, I was able to pick out some Dollfie Clothes.

Dollfie Dream

Yeah I know I know, I got all these clothes but how come my Dollfie Daughters are still in their default clothing?  It will happen soon, I have got to do that along with the progression on the Dollfie Dream Theater, it will definitely happen!  But I am really tempted to take some new photographs with the new fancy lingerie from Cuties, they are really quite elaborate :s

Dollfie Dream Contest

While it might have taken a bit long, the shimapan prize from the Miss Dollfie Summer 2009 has finally arrived!  While technically it was Escalayer who brought home the prize, but both Asuka and Escalayer had a full workout during the various photo sessions!  You can look at some of the wonderful images of my Dollfie Daughters for the contest in Miss Dollfie Summer 2009 Escalayer and Miss Dollfie Summer 2009 Asuka. And I really shouldn’t dream of getting away without actually putting the pantsu into use right?

Dollfie Dream Dynamite Escalayer

Took me a while to recreate this shot, which I consider as one of the most “innocent” pantsu shot I have taken!

Hopefully new lights will arrive shortly to improve the conditions of indoor photos!

Oh and before I forget, I also picked up a few Bandai action bases… obviously they are props for the upcoming Dollfie Dream Theater!  I also pick up a secret boss which I have to build…. no, I can’t tell you what it is yet!
