Well, I guess luck is on my side after all. We have a decent weather here in the Midwest and it’s only partly cloudy so the Sun was out most of the day. So I got to live up to my promise and took my girls out for another photo shoot back at the wonderful flower bed. I am so happy that I am no longer limited by the memory of the camera, I shot most RAW + JPG today and I got to say it’s a breath of fresh air to be able to do that without any worries! This is the first time I shot with the RAW format and I got to say, it’s just amazing! All the exposure and color temperature information are recorded and I can tweak it very easily with the ViewNX software that came with my camera. A less than perfect shot due to cloud shading is easily fixed with the ViewNX software! I took a little over 200 shots today but a lot of them were test shots with varying parameters and angle, I think about 10% of them came out just the way I wanted it. So, without further ado, let me share some of this new set of photos with you, hopefully you would enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
First, let me introduce my new model for the day! My fifth daughter Rin Tohsaka!
It’s difficult to get a direct shot of Rin without her hair getting in the way, so I have taken a lot more side way shots.
Obviously, all of my Dollfie Daughters get a dedicated Rider Belt assigned to them, and Rin is the recipient of Kamen Rider Diend Belt, the purpose will become obvious in due time!
And last but not least, a pantsu shot that Rin can call as her own!
And I did not forget the fact that I never did finish Asuka’s photo shoot yesterday so she was my other model!
And obviously, I have to have a dedicated Rider Belt in mind for Asuka, Sky point Asuka anyone?
The belt I assigned to Asuka is Kamen Rider Kabuto Belt!
“I’m the maid that walks the path of heaven and will rule over everything”
After a hard day of intense photo session, I think I have managed to come up with a few good shots, as both Asuka and Rin were quite happy with the result as well! Here is a shot taken just right before I drove home.
I have to keep on practicing my skills so I can take more beautiful photos in the future!
I uploaded the rest of the photos I decided to keep to my flickr account, feel free to go check them out.

I’m curious, can you get different facial expressions for your dolfies?
Just like what people do with Figma, you need an alternate head to change facial expression.
Ah, lovely photos, excellent color palette with the natural lighting. I see you’re loving your DSLR. ^^
Thanks ^^; I left most the shots up to the camera actually, the auto mode was giving me somewhere in the F11 and 1/500 shutter so it should be good enough for most wide area shot, the Portrait mode was doing something in the F5.6 1/2000 shutter, so I figure the camera knows what it was doing so I can focus more on getting the right frame, I was shooting free hand because it’s difficult to get the right angle with a tripod. The 11 points focus gives me a visual indicator where the shot is in focus or not, so one less thing to worry about. Shooting in RAW gives me the ability to tweak a less than perfect shot due to cloud shading, another thing I don’t have to worry about, increased memory capacity enabled me to shoot until my heart’s content instead of forcing myself to go home due to running out of memory. I think I did an ok job this time!
