I concluded the first part of the story arc with Sasara and Maryan sempai finally being able to make up, well it was more like Sasara finally being able to come to terms with reality. This is a real turning point of the story, with Takaaki’s successful attempt at recreating the graduating ceremony for Sasara and Maryan to set things right. Sasara had begun to grow fond of Takaaki, of course, without him realizing it all together! Even though Maryan sempai was supposed to move to another school, she kept showing up every now and then and kept trying to hook up Sasara with Takaaki through out the 2nd half of the story! I should also mention that most of the ecchi references came from Maryan sempai as well.
During the first day of the spring vacation, Maryan tried to setup a date between Sasara and Takaaki using a really obscure method, and ended up failing miserably because Takaaki didn’t have the required equipment to listen to her James Bond style cassette tape message XD. She ended up having to call Takaaki’s house an hour later and threaten him that she had given the same message to Sasara and she had already been waiting for over an hour and that he had better get himself to the meeting point right the way otherwise she would wait on the spot indefinitely! Takaaki knew it was a setup but Maryan left him with little choice because it was obvious that she intended for Takaaki to meet Sasara.
By the time Takaaki arrived at the meeting spot, Sasara had already waited for more than an hour and was slightly sad to hear the Maryan was busy with something else (in fact she was watching the scene the whole time in a nearby all you can eat cake shop!). Takaaki wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do with Sasara in front of him because Maryan sempai didn’t give him any instruction other than showing up. It was Sasara who spoke up first and told Takaaki that she has gotten some tickets to the aquarium from Maryan sempai and was wondering if Takaaki could accompany her. Takaaki realized the Sasara, the one that who always avoided contact with everyone, had pink nail polish on her finger nails, and her dress, she must have gathered a lot of courage to show up and asked him to go to the aquarium with her. Even though Takaaki wasn’t sure if he was up to the job, but he agreed to go to the aquarium with Sasara.
It was exactly a smooth ride since Sasara and Takaaki were both shy in nature, they barely talked about anything on their way there but things got better once they arrived at the aquarium. And from the aquarium trip, Takaaki found out Sasara loves Sea Animal, but to his surprise…. instead of the most popular animals like Dolphins and Penguins, Sasara’s favorite animals are Medusa, Manatee, Whale, Holothuroidea, and Chinese giant salamander! Sasara was most passionate about Medusa, and talked about all different types and their living habit…until she realized she was probably a bit too enthusiastic about it. We got to see the more childish side of Sasara here, although she was rather embarrassed about it and thought she gave a bad impression to Takaaki.
With Sasara’s rather obscure interest, Takaaki was caught off guard and couldn’t respond appropriately and he thought he had messed up big time for not being able to adapt quickly, so their first date didn’t end well at all with both sides greatly misunderstood each others.
The next day, Takaaki was still blaming himself for hurting Sasara yesterday and didn’t want to get up from his bed.
But after hearing some encouragement from Konomi, Takaaki finally gathered enough courage to call Sasara and eventually found out it was just a huge misunderstanding with both sides worried about hurting each others’ feeling while in reality while it was just in their mind! With the misunderstanding resolved, Takaaki stepped up his game and invited Sasara out to eat! Although Sasara was a bit hesitant at first, but Takaaki insisted that it was his wish to finish what he couldn’t accomplish yesterday; after hearing such words, Sasara gladly accepted his invitation! But to Takaaki’s surprises, the place Sasara chose to eat was…..
A hamburger joint… (and we will talk about hamburger again, and it’s absolutely essential to Sasara’s story, just take my words for it!). The way Sasara acted and dressed herself gave people a feeling that she was a high class lady but in fact, the dress was chosen by her mother and Sasara would rather eat at a fast food restaurant if it was up to her. Perhaps it’s their 2nd date and they both felt more comfortable with each other, their conversation range from Sasara’s fear of coke (because her mother claimed coke can dissolve bone, and Sasara believed her, silly girl!) to Takaaki explaining that his was usually shy when he got close to girls (girl allergy I suppose?) other than his childhood friends. It was almost night time when they came out of the hamburger joint, and Takaaki finally asked Sasara what she planned to do during the spring holiday. After Sasara explained that she would be in school for student council, Takaaki, despite his shyness, asked Sasara if he could come help her for the student council work. It is fairly obvious at this point that Sasara has already grown fond of Takaaki and she had no reason to reject him, so she told him the time and they parted for the night!
During the spring holiday, Takaaki got to spend a lot of time with Sasara alone in the student council office. And more of Sasara’s secrets came out in the open! Like she tried to have a pet frog inside her personal cabinet (Sasara’s mother hated frog), while she intended to send the frog back into the wild, she kept it in her cabinet because it was too “cute” to let it go. Sasara was certainly embarrassed of her obscure interest, but Takaaki saved the day by telling her it was a good educational experience to observe tadpole development over the holiday (smart save!).
Going home together for the first time…
And en route to watch cherry blossom, which one was more beautiful? Sasara or Cherry blossom?
At this point, Takaaki has noticed that he was really captivated by Sasara’s beauty.
And while hooking up the new computer room ….
…..
Sasara got tangle up by a bunch 0f Ethernet patch cords! Obviously a fanservice!
Sasara was away for a few days to go on a trip with her father (although she was a bit hesitant about telling Takaaki at first), guess what kind of gift she brought back for Takaaki? Yup, it’s Chinese giant salamander stuffed animal! Honestly, I don’t think stuff like that actually existing, but then anything is possible if you are cute enough!
Takaaki also noticed that Sasara wouldn’t eat anything other than salad, 100% juice, or whole grain cookie…
But Sasara has already gotten a fairly slim figure and well endowed chest… what could she possibly want to trim weight on??! So Takaaki decided to make a homemade bento for Sasara (with the help of Konomi’s mother of course!), while Sasara was again, rather hesitant at first, but she simply could not refuse Takaaki’s offer with his enthusiasm.
While the bento may be a success…
But after the first bite…..
She had already fallen over… Takaaki didn’t know what to do except to call Maryan sempai.
Even Maryan sempai wasn’t too sure, but based on her experience with Sasara, it must be that Sasara was allergic to homemade food, because of her fear of being loved (because of her fear of losing it, I know it’s upside down but that’s what it is!). She can eat mass produced hamburger, because even though they were well made, it couldn’t have contained any “love” per say like a homemade bento. Classy french cuisine was also ok because they were made artistically.
As Takaaki entered the nurse office to check on Sasara, she immediately duck under the blanket because she was sorry about hurting Takaaki’s feeling, she wanted to change her anti-social behavior and wanted to learn how to accept others more openly because she didn’t want to go through the same experience with Maryan sempai again (the fear of parting). While Takaaki, was also sorry that Sasara was trying so hard to change because he wanted to see her smile but he also realize the fact that he kept hanging around Sasara might be a burden to her. (Yeah there we go again >.>; it ain’t easy business to hook these two up together). Finally came down to Sasara, she held on to Takaaki and told him that she didn’t want to be left alone again. While it may still be too early for Sasara to eat homemade food, but at least she was moving in the right direction! And the spring vacation finally came to an end!
As soon as the spring semester began, a few things were happening all at once. First, Konomi began to go to the same school as Takaaki.
So as Tama-nee, who came back from her boarding school to fulfill her promise (but that’s a story for another day!) both of them were essential to the later part of the story.
And of course, Konomi was the only one who was genuinely happy to see Tama-nee :p
And not to mention Yuji as well, he too was important to the upcoming story development!
Even though it was only the first day of school, but the rumor of Takaaki getting really close to Sasara had already spread like wild fire, and even the school newspaper believed that Takaaki was appointed to be the vice president of the student council because of his close involvement with the normally anti-social Sasara.
Even though this was the first day of school, things went by pretty quick. However, on his way to the student council, Takaaki couldn’t shake off what he saw on the school newspaper earlier, Takaaki, the vice president of the student council? Even though he was really there for personal reasons? By the time he arrived at the student council, he was shocked to see the door to the student council was missing?!! And after conversing with Sasara, he found out that the whole grain cookie she stored in her personal cabinet also went missing, the security lock of the window got stuck and would not move…. but who could have possibly done all of these crazy things….. before they had a chance to gather their thoughts together, a voice that was too familiar echoed from a distance and something appeared to fly through the windows, so Takaaki and Sasara had no choice but to duck out of the way!
And after a little commotion, Takaaki finally realized it was all Maryan sempai’s doing! (If you wanted to truly understand how blizzard Maryan sempai could be, please refer to the ToHeart 2 OVA3 for a more animated version! Maryan sempai is really something, I guess that’s part of the reason why she was added to ToHeart 2 Another Day as a main heroine!) And obviously, with Maryan sempai around, she would always crack some ecchi jokes like telling Takaaki that she would stop letting him “H” her again (while implying that they had already done it before!) but the problem is… Sasara actually believed her! (well almost!)
And Takaaki had to smack her on the head as usual!
After all that commotion settled down, their conversation topic somehow got back on the rumored appointment of Takaaki to become the vice president of the student council. But apparently, either Sasara nor Takaaki knew how that rumor got started. However, Takaaki went one step further and basically rejected the idea of him being anywhere near that position, believing that he was not good enough, and since he wished Sasara to have the best, he should not become the one she could rely on (you could almost sensed the disappointment in Sasara’s face after she heard that). Maryan was rather disappointed to hear that from and immediately dragged Takaaki out to the hallway and gave him a couple more servings of “Maryan Double Kick”
From Maryan sempai’s point of view, Takaaki’s outright rejection to become the vice president of the student council must have hurt Sasara’s feeling deeply, but Takaaki insisted that someone more qualified for the job should do it. Things were pretty awkward after this little scene, and they ended the day without talking much in the student council. Maryan sempai got fed up with the two extremely slow people and left without saying anything. On their way home, Takaaki was keeping his distance with Sasara, within the reach of a hand, believing that’s where he should be, literally in a sense, but close enough to save her from harm whenever that might happen. Once again, it was Sasara who had to do all the heavy lifting, she turned around and told Takaaki that she really do want to appoint a vice president and Takaaki promised to help her find a suitable candidate.
But out of everyone Takaaki was familiar with, Manaka was already busy with being the class rep, Yuji wouldn’t cut it because he would be doing it for personal reason (namely, to get close to Sasara)… while he was still deep in his thought, he bumped into Tama-nee, and just when he thought he should get away from Tama-nee for the fear of being abused (like Yuji), he realized that perfect candidate could not be anyone other than Tama-nee, industrial, good at socializing and high class!
So Takaaki began to explain the reason behind his intent for Tama-nee to become the vice president. Tama-nee was rather hesitant at first but eventually gave into Takaaki’s once in a life time style plague.
But when Takaaki tried to introduce Tama-nee to Sasara in the student council….
Sasara was literally frozen in surprise for a few good moment (poor Sasara must be in shock to see Takaaki coming into the student council with someone like Tama-nee). Tama-nee already knew the student council president was a girl from talking to Yuji, but once she had taken a good look at Sasara, she already knew that Sasara must be someone really important for Takaaki for him to do all these things for her. On the other hand, Sasara also took noticed that Takaaki was unusually comfortable around Tama-nee and eventually found out they were really childhood friends. As we all know, once Tama-nee was involved, you can bet she would make the most out of it, and she did not disappoint us! Konomi and Yuji were also dragged in as a result.
So the student council had grown from just Sasara to 4+1 council with Sasara being the president, Tama-nee: vice president, Takaaki: Accountant, Konomi: Secretary, Yuji: Additional… (+1 because Yuji only count as an extra!) Just like that, the new student council was formed.
After the first day in the student council, Tama-nee proposed to have a group dinner to celebrate the formation of the new student council. Obviously, whenever Tama-nee is involved, she was bound to be dominating, that’s Tama-nee for you.
When it was time to decide where to go to eat, Tama-nee was surprised to hear that Sasara wanted to go to a hamburger joint because she would rather go some place better than a fast food joint. She hinted at Takaaki to make the final decision, he initially was going to follow Tama-nee’s hint but he remembered Sasara’s situation and insisted that they should go to the hamburger place! It took a few minutes of wrestling, but Tama-nee finally realized why Takaaki had to go to the hamburger joint.
By the time they came out of the restaurant, the sky was already pitch dark. And just before they parted, Sasara appeared to want to say something to Takaaki but she ended up just telling Takaaki to be careful on the way home as she saw off the rest of the group. As the group began to walk home together, Takaaki finally realized that Sasara must have wanted to talk to him alone and head back in her direction and just told the rest of the group he had some thing he had to do. When Takaaki arrived at the bus stop again, he noticed the lonely figure of Sasara sitting on the bench and called out to her.
Sasara was surprised to see Takaaki came back because she thought he had went home with the group. Well it appeared that Sasara was still rather nervous to deal with associating with such a big group of people so she was rather exhausted, but she seemed to really like this group of friends Takaaki brought to her. Sasara told Takaaki that she was really happy to have Takaaki in the student council and the fact that he came back for her there made her really happy. It may not be very noticeable at first, but Takaaki had also began to grow fond of being alone with Sasara, and secretly wished that moment would last forever.
Following the group dinner is what seemed like filler material to the story, including Yuji’s suggestion to improve the condition of the student cafeteria with his favorite…. meido…. and he seemed to be able to successfully convinced Sasara that even Takaaki loves meido, he just didn’t show it! After lunch, Takaaki reminded Sasara that she should be extra careful around Yuji because of his “naughty hands” has a tendency to touch Sasara where he shouldn’t, and claimed that he would not do that (while in fact he was jealous of Yuji, in his mind at least). While Sasara acknowledged, she was “slightly saddened” that Takaaki “wouldn’t” touch her… Back at the student council, Takaaki noticed Sasara was not there but found the all too familiar figure of Maryan sempai in place of her… and on top of that we got to witness first hand how even Tama-nee was no match to Maryan sempai!
To Takaaki’s surprise, the agenda of that day was improvement to the student cafeteria! It seemed that Maryan sempai had taken the recommendation of a “super customer” and decided to begin a trial of the ideal student cafeteria after school, and if the idea worked out, she would even work there herself! Takaaki began to feel extremely nervous about what Maryan sempai might have came up with as the group approached the cafeteria…. and he wanted to settle this before Sasara had a chance to see it…. but to his ultimate surprise…..
(Gentlemen, that’s how we ended up with a School Swimsuit Meido Sasara PVC figure, all thanks to Yuji
)
and not to mention, one of the most popular limited released Dollfie Dream Sasara!
He was greeted by school swimsuit meido Sasara! Takaaki was furious and asked Maryan sempai if she had force Sasara to do this, but to his surprise, while the plan might have been drafted by Yuji and herself, but it was up to Sasara to agree to do it by herself…. Sasara even ask Maryan sempai if she looked cute and all…. the normally shy Sasara, it was really unbelievable! However, this meido cafeteria was doomed to fail and was soon busted by the teachers… (As a side note, the black market for a Sasara’s swimsuit meido version photo was selling for about 50000 yen, as a result, Yuji upgraded his camera to a DLSR + 3 elements len.)
Although seemingly unimportant, there were a few more student council activities including meeting the Mystery club Karin
(a little side story that revealed Sasara’s past life was actually an ancient Mu Warrior! The Mu Warrior Sasara believed that Tama-nee was the Atlantis Warrior Tamaki and declared that she wouldn’t hand over the prince >.>; Another subtle reference on the rivalry between Sasara and Tama-nee.)
And in order to dispel the rumor of a ghost showing up at school at night, the student council including Maryan sempai went on to a ghost hunting trip. It was during the ghost hunting trip that Tama-nee began to indirectly acknowledge Sasara as her rival for Takaaki along with Konomi of course and she would be upset if Sasara insisted on pairing herself up with Yuji (out of fair play) and Tama-nee with Takaaki. Obviously Takaaki had no clue what the girls were talking about.
And they met Ruuko, who was actually a space alien who was there to observe earthlings! Ruuko actually gave a valuable tip to Takaaki – a secret path to get into the school building at night, a tip that will prove to be extremely useful later on. It was also during this incident that Takaaki found out Sasara was actually very much afraid of the dark, and because of this, Sasara had begun to feel inferior to her competition Tama-nee and thought she would never be able to catch up to her….
After the ghost hunting event, Maryan sempai once again showed up in front of the student council and proposed that they needed to hold a new student welcoming party and they only have one week to prepare for it…. after leaving the message, she “escaped” through the window yet…. the student council could not come up with any good plan for the welcoming party, and by the end of the day, Tama-nee led the rest of the gang away and let Takaaki and Sasara to continue to work on the welcoming party. And in the end, based on Sasara’s interest, they decided that a treasure hunt would be the most appropriate activity.
Everyone at the student council agreed to their plan on the next meeting and it was quickly decided that every council member would prepare a prize ranging from 1st to 5th and a special prize. After the meeting, Tama-nee caught Takaaki just right outside of the student council and complemented how well he has been doing for the student council, but in reality, she really just wanted to find out how he felt about Sasara. But at this point in time, Takaaki was still pretty much stuck in with his old habit and declared that he was serious about “just supporting” Sasara in the best way he could. Tama-nee felt sorry for Sasara and was disappointed to hear that Takaaki had not been able to grow out of his idealist nature and left. Unfortunately, this little conversation was overheard by Sasara inside the student council room…..
Sasara was seriously sad to hear that everything Takaaki had done was only to support her (and nothing else), she briefly excused herself and told Takaaki she wanted to walk home with Tama-nee.
In the next couple of days, we were treated with a couple tense moments. First, we saw Yuji getting really close to Sasara all of a sudden. And you can almost feel that Takaaki was getting jealous… punched the wall with his fist and wonder why he couldn’t make Sasara smile like she just did with Yuji….
Back in the classroom, Takaaki did not waste a single moment before confronting with Yuji. While Yuji only claimed that he was helping out the “princess” with her problem; and that he wouldn’t make a move on the “princess” that Takaaki loved so much.
However, with Takaaki still stuck in his tunnel vision once again declared that there was nothing between Sasara and himself… Yuji was surprised to hear that from Takaaki, and asked Takaaki would be “ok” if he were to go after Sasara himself. Takaaki was obviously not pleased to hear this but he couldn’t say anything to Yuji. Yuji went one step further and told Takaaki if he wasn’t serious about Sasara, then he would go into battle formation himself.
During lunch time, Takaaki couldn’t bring himself to have lunch with Yuji after their little confrontation, he wandered to Sasara’s classroom. Sasara’s classmate made fun of Takaaki by calling him Sasara’s pet, however Sasara (still in her down mode) claimed that Takaaki had a better relationship with Tama-nee than herself…. little did Sasara know that this little scene would eventually feed back into Tama-nee. And in the next council meeting, Tama-nee confronted Sasara about this rumor…
Tama-nee was very upset to be dragged into this little drama between Sasara, Takaaki and herself; and told Sasara that she shouldn’t drag her (Tama-nee) feeling into this. Takaaki was totally dumbfounded about this development (dumbass). On one hand, Sasara believed that if Tama-nee was around this whole time, she would never have been close to Takaaki at all because she felt she was inferior to Tama-nee; while Tama-nee perhaps unwillingly, told Sasara that she was in a way much more superior because she managed to reverse their situation in merely a month time and she should not give up without trying. After this little incident, the entire student council tensed up but they managed to get all the duties for the welcoming party assigned.
After the meeting, Takaaki didn’t want to go home with Yuji, and Konomi already went ahead to Tama-nee so he was left with Sasara. Out of the blue, Sasara asked Takaaki out for a date and told him to meet her after school on the coming Saturday, Takaaki was surprised by this sudden development and couldn’t say anything to Sasara until she disappeared from his sight.
Saturday after school, Takaaki arrived at the meeting spot as he began to recall the scene when Sasara invited him out..
Even as dumb as Takaaki (yea I said it, dumb as a truck or lorry if you are from the other side of the ocean
), he realized that there was a hidden meaning to this date. But he couldn’t reject this, he just didn’t want to see Sasara sad… while trying to decide where they could go..
Sasara arrived a little than usual and she appeared to be somewhat tired as if she didn’t sleep at all last night. Takaaki was worried about her well being, but Sasara put up a forceful smile and told Takaaki she was ok and would go anywhere with him (yeah ANYWHERE), even if he wanted to go to the Moon. Sasara looked rather serious when she said she was willing to go to the Moon with Takaaki.
Takaaki ended up picking the ….. aquarium to please Sasara, because he wanted to see her smile again, however, it appeared that what Sasara was looking for was not in the aquarium… and she only pretended to enjoy herself.
It was already rather late by the time they got out, then out of the blue…. Sasara asked Takaaki if he wanted to go to a love hotel with her @.@
Takaaki was like under a spell and followed Sasara to the love hotel and was presented with this scene…. Sasara then suggested to Takaaki that he could touch her anywhere he wanted…… Even though Takaaki understood what Sasara was expecting, but he couldn’t bring himself to touch her… and asked her if there was something wrong…. they eventually left the love hotel without doing anything. While Takaaki thought he was in the right to not touch Sasara because she was acting weird, Sasara misunderstood the situation and thought he wasn’t interested in her… As they parted way, Sasara appeared to want to say something but she ended up just saying “gomenasi” and ran away. Takaaki knew in his heart that he shouldn’t let Sasara go under this circumstance, but he couldn’t gather enough courage to stop her.
Back at his house, Takaaki was confronted by Maryan sempai…
Maryan sempai told Takaaki that Sasara was extremely hurt and anything that could have happened could only caused by Takaaki and wanted to know the truth. While Takaaki explained that he wasn’t some kind of hentai and didn’t touch Sasara at all, and to that answer, he got a smack in the face from Maryan sempai. She knew exactly what was going through Sasara’s mind, the normally slow reacting Sasara, must have gone all out to try to make Takaaki realize her presence, she genuinely wanted to be touched by Takaaki. Maryan then further explained that he didn’t protect Sasara at all, all he ever did was to protect his own personal feeling. Maryan sempai was genuinely angry and said she shouldn’t have left Sasara up to him.
Maryan sempai threw her bike helmet at Takaaki and told him to run into a piece of tofu and die…
The next day, Takaaki was extremely sad, he knew he had hurt Sasara badly and wasn’t see if he could face Sasara again. Then he remembered the last time Konomi encouraged him about being honest with himself and go apologize, but can he really pull that off again this time? Just when he was thinking, the door bell rang and it was Konomi chan.
Konomi reminded Takaaki that the treasure hunt was tomorrow and he should really be preparing for it. Since Takaaki had been rather busy so he was caught off guard by this… and to that, Konomi handed him a piece a paper with the hint for a treasure location and told Takaaki that this was a question that was tailored for him. And just like that, Konomi dragged Takaaki out to shopping for the treasure prize. Konomi was looking for a chance to say it, and when Takaaki was about to give up looking for the a stuff animal (something that Sasara would like) for the prize, she told Takaaki that he shouldn’t give up, instinctively, Takaaki knew Konomi knew what had happened yesterday…
(Personal note: I promise I will play your route, Konomi, you worked hard the whole time and your story deserved to be heard, even though I wasn’t interested in your arc -Wolfheinrich)
Maryan sempai was so loud yesterday, it was impossible for the next door neighbor Konomi to not notice what happened yesterday… Konomi instinctively knew Takaaki was in some trouble because they grew up together, but what Takaaki didn’t know, she wouldn’t know either… However, she told Takaaki that if he wished everyone to be happy, first he must make himself happy…
The next day, Yuji was noticeably early and told Takaaki that he noticed Sasara was in a state that required attention and caring, and even though he felt sorry for Takaaki, but it was time to decide who would be the winner and he would use anything he could…
All of the classes were canceled for the afternoon for the new student welcoming party. Although things were proceeding smoothly, but Sasara appeared to be tired, but just before Takaaki said anything, Yuji stepped up and volunteered to take Sasara to the nurse office… Takaaki noticed how Yuji was able to naturally support Sasara to the nurse office, it was a killing blow to him… may be that was it between Sasara and himself after all….
With Sasara away, the rest of the members prepared to change their plan around and Maryan decided to dismiss Takaaki from the school ground and told him to retreat to the student council office because he looked too lacked of spirit to be standing there.
Back at the student council office, Takaaki was close to breaking down, since Tama-nee and Konomi didn’t do anything to Maryan sempai’s dismissal of him. Even Yuji was doing better than him, may be he should resign from the student council and kept his distance away from Sasara, and protect her from distance… Once Takaaki had decided to resign, he began to feel very nostalgic with everything that Sasara had touched or used…. and he couldn’t help but tried to look inside Sasara’s cabinet and hug the spare uniform that Sasara stored in her cabinet…. but he was interrupted by Yuji’s voice from behind…
Yuji explained that everyone in school already knew how much Takaaki must have been in love with Sasara, the things that he had been doing for Sasara were already considered as love sickness, but everyone have been just observing from the side. Yuji further confronted Takaaki why it was ok to touch the uniform but not the person? After a long period of silence, Yuji told Takaaki that he had already confessed. Sasara rejected him, he knew it wouldn’t be that easy but what made him mad was that Sasara was obviously looking for someone else for advise, Sasara was looking for Takaaki even though he wasn’t anywhere near them!
Yuji further explained that for Sasara, there wasn’t anyone more suitable to be by her side other than Takaaki! He threw a challenge letter to Takaaki and told him it was from Maryan sempai and left the room.
Back at the school ground, Konomi explained that every prize had been given out except for the president’s special prize. Right at this moment, Takaaki overheard someone complained about the keywords for the final special prize… Frog, Medusa, Holothuroidea, Chinese giant salamander, hamburger, calorie biscuit, vegetable juice and hate coke. The students were ready to give up because they thought it must be Maryan sempai’s doing, but adding these keywords together was something Takaaki already knew very well…. after noticing this, he opened the challenge letter from Maryan sempai, the letter was short and only contain a short phase “Sleeping Beauty in the Forest”.
Just as Konomi announced that there was only 5 minutes left… Takaaki asked Konomi if she knew where Sasara was and she told him that she must still be inside the nurse office… without saying another word, Takaaki ran to the nurse office and he was greeted by Maryan who did not hesitate to give him a good smack in the face and told him he was way too slow! Before Maryan stepped aside to let Takaaki through, she told him if he was this slow again, she would really take Sasara away!
Sasara ducked under the blanket as soon as Takaaki entered the nurse office, and told him that it was enough already, that she shouldn’t expect to become a special person for anyone. Sasara broke into tears, she always thought she was someone special for Takaaki but she never had any proof, she tried so hard but it still didn’t work and was never complemented for her effort. At this point, Takaaki “finally” stepped up to his plate and grabbed Sasara by her hand (for the first time!) and told her it was time to go. They arrived at the school ground and when there was only 5 seconds left on the clock, Takaaki grabbed the mic from Konomi and declared loudly in front of everyone that he found it! He found the treasure, while facing Sasara directly, he declared this the Student council president Kusugawa Sasara was his treasure! To that answer, Konomi declared the special prize answer was correct. Sasara was pure red in her face and Takaaki embraced her in front of everyone’s cheering.
After school, Takaaki and Sasara once again reaffirmed their feelings for each other and held hands together. Something so simple should have been taken care of a long time ago, but at this moment, Takaaki really wanted the whole world to see how happy they are now!
*Notes*
Ok folks, I have decided to split this story into 3 parts now, it’s dragging out way too long and it’s already approching 6000 words… the next set of story will cover the all too important eroge scene, plus more shocking elements, stay tuned! I hope I can have it ready in the next few days!
I really wanted to give Takaaki a good smack in the face as well for making Sasara doing “all” the heavy lifting the whole time! Although that last move he pulled off with the love confession was rather brilliant.

Wow, that was really good!!! Now I really want to play the game. To bad they didn’t make the OVA’s more like the story in the game.
I would like to save more Sasara coverage on the OVA myself, but now that I have already played her arc, it’s not as urgent for me anymore XDD
that was very well written. felt like i was playing the game myself, and i couldnt finish it all in one sitting either ^^; i didnt know Sasara was the shy type, now i like her.
this bit was hilarious XD
“And obviously, with Maryan sempai around, she would always crack some ecchi jokes like telling Takaaki that she would stop letting him “H” her again (while implying that they had already done it before!) but the problem is… Sasara actually believed her! (well almost!)”
and the love confession part was fantastic! looking forward to part 3 with all the eroge goodies ^^
Hehehe, believe me, Maryan sempai was a teaser! She really pulled off a Rider Kicku too! with the 1, 2, 3 and sound effect. And supposedly, she also has a side job as a eroge game voice actress, and she went to the student council to promote her game one time lol.
Woah, this is great, though I wasn’t interested in To heart 2 at first, this changes everything. I assume the OVA Sasara’s personality resembles the one in the game (cause some anime adaption deviates the character’s personality from the original as we all know xD)? Keep up the great work!, i cant wait until the last part.
Greetings Prismatic, welcome :3
I am glad you enjoyed the story so far, it’s a rather unique story, there are more shocking elements yet to be disclosed thus making this one of the longest and most detailed coverage I have ever done. You can safely assume the ToHeart 2 OVA 3 is in the same time-line as this story part 2.
It will probably take a couple more days since I have got another project I need to work on, but I will be sure to finish this.
This is an epic writeup, thanks for taking the time to describe her storyline. Sasara sounds like a nice (albeit extraordinarily timid) girl. Actually, from your description, Maryan seems like the most interesting character in the game.
I worked at a Burger King when I was in high school and I’ll have everyone know that I made all my burgers with love – for the one week I lasted there, anyway.
I want a giant salamander stuffed animal now.
.-= Tier´s last blog ..Kotone Ousaka from the Art of Tony Taka (NSFW) =-.
Hey Tier, thanks for reading, it took a long time to digest this story and write it up because of the way Leaf put details into their game. The hamburger reference is not a joke and more details will be disclosed in the next write up. I will also attempt to do a line by line translation of the eroge scene this time.
I have a very different feeling with the two Sasara figures I have now, I was under the assumption that she was just a girl with cold demeanor; but I love her a whole lot more now. She is rather timid but there was a reason for that, and we will get to that, it was not her fault though.
Takaaki is soooo slow. It took Maryan, Konomi & Yuji to finally get him up and going.
And why chose the Aquarium? You guys alrighty went there a while ago. =.=;
ToHeart2 looks pretty good. More than I expected. I look forward to part 3, hopefully Takaaki won’t be as slow this time.
Hey, welcome again FlawlessEXA! I was rather upset with Takaaki myself, dumbass!
In Takaaki’s defense though, he picked the Aquarium solely to make Sasara happy because she loves sea animal, can’t really blame him for that…
Yes, it was better than I expected, there are a lot of subtle references buried in the game and I had to skip a whole bunch of them to get to this point in close to 6000 words. We are going for another major turning point again soon, hopefully it will be ready in a few days time.
Thanks again for the detailed right up. Really does feel like we’re playing the game right with you.
Sasara’s arc has an eroge scene? At work, as much as I’d like to see that. :3
A side note, kind of want a Sasara Maid figure now. Who wouldn’t though after seeing that pic. :3
Thanks for reading Punynari
I love hearing feedback
I didn’t plan on writing a story this long, but I felt the wiki description grossly mislabeled her character and gave people a wrong impression about her and since the OVA really didn’t cover the story arc, so I decided to write it. I really like understanding the story behind the figurines, especially the ones with a real story. I bought that meido figure about a year ago while promising myself that I will one day learn about her story (the Nagoya dollpa just put that on top of the to-do-list). I did not understand how a “supposedly” cold demeanor student council president would dressed up like that, but now I know exactly how it happened!
Yes, I was mistaken that there wasn’t an eroge scene, and I plan to cover it separately away from the main story, in a password protected page so I don’t accidentally show ecchi material to minor. I will provide the password to people I already know, so don’t worry about it :3
can you upload a tamaki version like this please!!
Sorry, the feedback on these topics have been too weak for me to do another write up like this.
ah i see…well can you upload the tamaki…cg…not the event ones…but the one where they ineract with u….uhmmm…the images like:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3506/3778762841_fca9bfbb8e.jpg
im pretty sure the events ones are already out but i can never find the inerteration ones..or when they are talking
I hope you keep your promise to make a complete entry of Konomi’s story one day. Tama-nee’s might also be nice, and it’s one of the most famous roles of Shizuka Itou, her seiyuu. I’m also surprised you didn’t review Yuma Tonami’s story, since her seiyuu is the same as Feena Fam Earthlight’s, Hitomi Nabatame.
