Dollfie Dream Completion Project arrival and other loots

Despite my main computer went down, loots have been arriving non stop for the past week… now that my computer is fixed, it’s finally time to reveal the result of my Dollfie Dream Instrumentality Project.  I borrowed the name “completion project” from Evangelion, straightly in a sense, trying to “rescue” the lovely Dollfie Dream from their original boxes and adopt them as my musumes!

Just who are the mysterious Dollfie Dream?  You about to find out (not like my picture didn’t give them away lol).

After opening the boxes, the first layer we have…

Dollfie Dream Saber and her maid outfit!

The second layer we have…

phpvRTY8w

Dollfie Dream Feena in her formal dress and Dollfie Dream Asuka French Maid version!

Here is a shot with all three of them lined up..

But that’s not without any setback, Saber arrived with her right eye popped out of her eye socket, but that’s easily fixable with a stick of blue tack since Dollfie’s eyeball are mean to be replacable to begin with.

And here is a photo of my musumes number 2, 3 and 4 lining up in front of their new home.

But that was not all, another Dollfie Dream that can’t wait to be my musume flew from Dolpa 21 After Event lottery (she even leapfrogged Dollfie Feito).

Since this is my first official Dollfie from Volks International directly, I might as well post a few more pictures of it.  I would say Volks took extra care in packing her to avoid her eye popped out of socket like what happened to Dollfie Saber.  Those of you who has been following my blog probably know who is due to arrive… you guessed it, it’s Dollfie Rin!  She leapfrogged Dollfie Fate to become my fifth musume.

Opening the box reveal the extra bubble wrap the Volks put in to help stablize Rin in the box.

I am very pleased to see the extra care Volks put in place to help Rin arrive safely to her new home.

After dressing up Dollfie Escalayer, Dollfie Asuka, Dollfie Feena and Dollfie Saber, I am pretty confident to say I am getting good at dressing them up!  Though dressing up my first musume for the very first time can be pretty scary since I didn’t know much about dressing up a Dollfie Dream before that.  So I included a few pictures to show the steps I took to dress Rin up.

First, pantsu on then her knee high

phpTakBrY

Her knee high is kind of tight, it felt tighter than Asuka and Feena’s so work it slowly, bit by bit.

Next is her dress, unlike the rest of my musumes, Rin’s dress and her blouse are both held together by plastic buttons only, so feel free to snap them open.

But before you put her blouse on, be sure to pull out her hand first because it won’t fit through.

All dressed up now

Next up is to apply the wig stopper.  I have search the Internet numerous time and I have yet to come across a site showing the wig stopper and how it’s meant to be used.  So, here it is.

php4PfXWe

It’s got adhesive back on one side, feel like thin tack tape on the other and it’s meant to catch on to the wig cap to prevent it from slipping off.  So I cut off two strips of it and apply them to her head.  It’s stay on but it’s also easily pilled off so don’t have to worry about it.

phpsDxlEq

It’s difficult to show how to apply the wig since I have to use both of my hands to do it, but the best way I found is to first line up where you want the front of the wig is and keep a finger on the back of the wig cap and just pull towards to back of her head.  Be very careful not to let her hair got stuck in the wig stopper because it will get caught there and you could possibly ruin some of the hair if you are not careful.

Time for a group photo for my musumes…

phpVGj5hG

Since I still haven’t gotten around to get sufficient lighting to take a serious photo session for my musumes, I will refrain from doing that and give each one of them a head shot for now…

In time, I shall try to find a better way to get a continuous light source so I can take better quality pictures instead of using the camera flash.

That’s about it for the Dollfie Dream, but that was not it for loot update.  A couple PVC figures have sneaked in between, although there isn’t much wow factor to them, I do like to point out a few things on the new figures.

phprTRiVv

1/8 Senhime from Alter and 1/5 Uesugi Kenshin from Freeing have arrived recently!

There isn’t much to talk about Senhime since she has been reviewed numerous time across various blog sites.  My focus here is on this Freeing Kenshin, probably the best PVC representation of Uesugi Kenshin we have to-date, plus a very impressive instruction for the cast off procedure is included.

phph0Iyko

Very impressive step by step instruction here, best one for cast off procedure I have seen.

php4WjoBq

I should point out her armor is not made from PVC, it’s got a shiny finish to it and it’s most likely injection molded.  I should also point out that the armor doesn’t feel bulky like Griffon version of armor cast off.

php15IPDu

However, due to my mobo breaking down recently, fixing it up and all the dollfie dream arrival; I just haven’t had time to sit down and do a review of this figure.  Hopefully, things will finally settle down now that I have gotten my computer fixed up.
