It's been almost two weeks since I started this Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na Visual Novel marathon run project which includes the original Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na Visual Novel (2005) August soft, Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na -Brighter than dawning blue- (2009) Aria soft and Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na -Moonlight Cradle- (2009) August soft, it's a massive undertaking that I have never attempted before. But after over a week worth of effort, I am finally getting close to the midway point. This project really started when I redecorated my room with three Feena fam Earthlight Dakimakuras and one bath towel, then all of a sudden I wondered about how much do I really know about her.

Alright, so I finally made it to the new cast on the PS2 port version Estel Freesia. What can I say about her? Estel is quite a tsundere, more than Natsuki (especially after I started her Moonlight Cradle arc) and definitely a tough nut to crack! I am going to try a slightly different approach and compact her story a bit more, Feena's story was way too long and I probably had way too much details in the last writeup.

A few days ago, I welcomed my Sixteenth Dollfie Dream Daughter DD娃娃 人偶 Matou Sakura to my family; and I had Saber, Rin and Ecchi Lion came out to gave Sakura a warm welcome; but that was not all that I had in mind! The number sixteenth daughter also mark the completion of a Platoon!! Since such a significant milestone cannot be ignored or overlooked.... so I have decided to summon all of my daughters together for a full family portrait (it's been a while since I did the last family photo)! This special event is also know as Dollfie Dream Daughters Grand Glorious Gathering, DDDGGG for short!

It was only a matter of time before I put two of my most favorite Dollfie Dream daughters DD Saber Lily セイバー・リリィ and DD Kiriha Kuze 紅瀬桐葉 together for a full photo shoot, the pictures from the New Year Greeting post were merely a preview of what was probably a fact that was waiting to happen; I wouldn't put it past some of you who regularly visit my blog that this was already in the work ^^; What kind of photo shoot would I put together for my most favorite daughters the more mature and sexy Lily and together? Well, I actually tried to throw in a mixture of themes this time, involving the sexy, sisterly love and some light yuri perhaps =3.

I am just going to say it to get it off my chest, Natsuki Takamizawa (鷹見沢 菜月) deserves more attention than she is getting! Ok, while I don't think Natsuki is in the same league as Feena in terms of elegance and beauty, and she may just be a plain Jane next door neighborhood girl; but she is quite cute in her own rights, I don't understand why there hasn't been a single figure made of her yet.

I have always heard about how Anime Expo is one of the largest anime convention in North America but I have never once thought about going there myself in previous years. However, the convergence of various factors this year including the chance of meeting some of the friends I have made online at figure.fm, a trip to Volks USA and meeting Danny in person were enough to persuade me to make this journey. So, for this past weekend, I have picked my most pampered Dollfie Dream, DD娃娃 Kiriha Kuze 紅瀬桐葉 to accompany me to Anime Expo 2010 in Los Angeles!

Ever since the announcement of Dollfie Dream Sasara 久寿川 ささら by Volks a few days ago, I have assigned utmost priority to learn about Sasara's story. It's funny that I have been putting it off for more than a year, and I know I have been wanting to do it but the announcement of DD Sasara gave me the final nudge in the back I needed to start another visual novel marathon. Been quiet for the past couple of days, but I finally started to feel better for the past day so I decided to catch this chance to go out with my Dollfie Daughters again. The main objective this time was to correct a few oversights I had in the last outing so I had to take DD Asuka アスカ and DD Rin 遠坂 凛 out again, but that would be a tad too dry just to keep taking photos of those two so I decided to take DD Saber out with me as well.

Dollfie Dream Kiriha X Sasara with School Swimsuit Maid & He is My Master Maid set
It's been another intense camera action day as I have a lot on my agenda. The first order of business is to have two of my lovely daughters to try out the two of the most adorable maid dress set from Kyoto 7, Sasara School Swimsuit Maid and He is My Master Maid Dress set. There is no argument for who should wear the School Swimsuit Maid, but there was room for debate for the He is My Master Dress set, I finally decided to have Kiriha model for us, why Kiriha? Because she is my most pampered daughter! There will be some hints of yuri action here and there in this photo session, as I finally come to term to fulfill the promise I made way back to take some yuri photos for my daughters XD. Dollfie Dream Saber X Buckingham Palace
How long has it been since I acquired the cloak for Saber? Hmm ever since Airi arrived? Yeah, I been wanting to do a Saber solo shoot out for that long, but laziness and procrastination delayed it for this long! Errr, not really, I was busy with other stuff and had the lighting setup packed away and didn't pull them back out until just recently. Anyway, I been wanting to do this shoot out with Saber standing in front of the Buckingham Palace and I have finally done it! I think I managed to pack a few pretty good shots in there, hopefully you would enjoy them as much as I did :D
I bet you did not spend much on this…at least not as much as I did on my DETOLF lights. They are up but not acceptably finished yet, hopefully I will be able to show them when they do.
Well I don’t even like Detolf very much so the answer to your question is yes, I only bought one package of Dioder for this Detolf. I took the split sleeves from work so they are free, cable clips are from work as well. Please do show us your work when you are finished, despite my preference on the Detolf, I always appreciate good work of art.
Wow I thought you did a good job on hiding the wires. I use the same diode lights from Ikea (the one by my house-prob the same one you goto off of 355) And I love the lights. A little bit pricey I thinks..but I just love using them. I love the color options.
Thanks Fumoffu, I am about a split between going up north or going down to the Ikea in Bolingbrook, the one down south is less crowded for me taste.
That looks pretty cool! I hear what you’re saying about the Detolf shelves … it doesn’t help that I messed up while setting mine up, it’s got a one-inch gap between the top of the rear glass pane and the wooden cover. Actually, I’m not sure if I messed up or if Ikea’s QA is sucky. I do like them mainly cuz they’re inexpensive and do the job reasonably well, but it’d definitely be better if they had adjustable shelf brackets.
From an engineering standpoint, the construction of the Detolf is unstable. I will never get over the fact that it shakes like it’s about to fall apart every time I open it. Another huge problem with Detolf I don’t like are the shelves below the knee level. I can’t see my figures easily when they are positioned below my knee. If you look at my photos, you would notice my figures are never positioned below the knee, except the Detolf. And I don’t have to say much about the fixed height shelf that seems like a waste of space to me. The Billy bookshelves and the dust shield combination is the result of my years of collecting figure, but that’s just my answer to the unstable Detolf.
Nice project you got going. I need some lighting for my shelves too…but I’m still thinking what lighting to choose. I’m more inclined to giving my girls warmer lighting.
It’s hard to beat the Dioder when you want to generate light without too much heat.
