Next entry in the photos shoot series is Meifeng Liu 柳 妹鳳 from the Shuraki “Trinity Box” brought to you by the collaboration between Red Entertainment and Good Smile Company. This particular figure represent a small fraction of my entire collection that I know very little about. I am very good about doing my homework and dig as deep as I can, however, since this particular series of figures do not yet have a game or animation to represent them, there is very little I could do, I am basically dead in the water for this one. Remember how I said I only buy figure based on a series I am familiar with? Meifeng Liu was granted exemption status from that clause; because she is just that good! What I do have is a quotation from Hobby Link Japan.
“The second entry in this popular series is China-born fighter Meifeng Liu, adorned in a gorgeous China dress and brandishing her sharp Engetsurin melee weapon. She loves getting up close and personal, dishing out lightning-quick and continuous attacks in battle! Sculpted by Takayuki Kawahara, Meifeng measures about 23cm tall to the tip of her raised weapon, and comes packed with an interchangeable battle-damaged China dress set, plus a custom diorama display base. The included 24-page illustration booklet features works by character designer Satoshi Kiba, along with information on the story and character, a cast interview, comments from staff, and a column about the making of the music. As if that’s not enough, a 73-minute Japanese audio drama CD is included, with Mayumi Iizuka performing Meifeng Liu’s voice and a special character song!” -HobbyLink Japan
There is something special about this figure, besides the ability to cast-off. As I started taking photos for her, I realized that she looks good from just about any angle, no kidding. Whether it’s cast-on, cast-off, pantsu shot, damaged dress, the soft PVC ribbons on her twin tails, the ribbon on the left thigh, facial expression and the flowing hair, everything looks good!
As far as PVC figurine goes, this is just about as good as it can get. She actually put a lot of higher priced figures to shame. Priced only at 6476 yen and it comes with the interchangeable battle-damaged outfit, a content-packed drama CD, and an A5-size illustration booklet. What more can we collectors ask for? Except may be more of the same thing next time?

Congratz on getting her! She’s quite a beauty eh? Of all the shuraki figures, I favour her the most.
Yes indeed, she is my favorite among the Shuraki figure set. Char Rhousemann is pretty good too, but not as good as Meifeng for me. I think Meifeng set the standard too high for the others to reach.
Mei Feng is a total pain to cast off and on…
Thats the only thing thats wrong with the figure.Shes gorgeous and im very happy to have her in my collection
Its only natural that you dont know anything about this figure since its an original character created just for this Shuraki Release.All you need to know about her is in her Book and CD. Too bad i cant read japanese ^^;
Through out the course of the photos shoot, I started to get the hang of pulling and pushing at the right places to *get her clothes off* hehe.
She’s a beauty indeed, I know because I own one too ^^ Really nice pictures you got there, but I do have one complaint about the Shuraki series…THEY’RE HELL TO CAST-OFF!! They should’ve made it easier to work with. I just need Char now to complete the series…*croses fingers for re-release*
Oh, my favourite is Rizfis…her dress is so pretty.
I spent a lot of time with Meifeng when I took her photos and I learned a lot about her body. Pushing and pulling at the right places at the right time will help a lot!
